Why can’t dbd do a offline mode to practice and play against killers that you have trouble facing

While not strictly 'offline', having bot killers in custom matches would help a lot.
They're already there in 2v8, so I dunno what they're waiting for. Even if it's in waves, it's better than nothing.

exactly. I just want to go against certain killers that I would like to face that I’m having trouble going against them

Tbh bot killers are sometimes strange creature, from 2v8 what I have seen you get like nurse who can kill you in three blinks with wallhacks (she doesnt misses offten) or huntress that cant throw hatchets. Best way is probably 1v1 with friend.

Why would they ever do that? They don't care about the Survivor experience.

This has been my most requested addition to the game for a very long time now. I’m quite vocal about it on here, and I try and put it in the feedback sections for the surveys too.

They can't even be bothered to let you just walk around the map as a survivor, learning the map. You have to do timed bot matches as a killer instead.

What if you don't have friends who play DbD though? There's a reason the majority of players are solo-queue.
I haven't played 2v8 so maybe I'm wrong but aren't only certain killers available for the 2v8 mode? If that's the case BHVR might be waiting until they have every killer ready before launching that feature. Assuming they have plans to do so at all that is.

Well BHVR has promised custom match changes this fall so maybe you get that.

Then you learn the way most of us did. By playing the game.
I'm starting to think what is being pushed here would be more detrimental than helpful to new players. When I play a custom match it is usually to point out a bug or test out if a bug's been patched. A custom match with bots is fine but it doesn't help me come up with strats against actual players. In fact it only enforces learning how the AI works and how to manipulate it. Not really useful when it comes to real human players.

Personally I use them to learn how a new power works/shake off the rust if it's been a while.
