Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

I am an Executioner prestige level 90 player.
I think that weakening the cage is unavoidable as a countermeasure against tunnels.
I have also been waiting for the add-on changes for a long time. Thank you.

However, please cancel the other changes immediately.
Slowing down movement speed while using abilities is an incomprehensible change.
Users who play Executioner do not want such changes.
His abilities are already easy to dodge, and it takes a lot of practice to land them.
Please reconsider.

I also think slowing down his movement speed discourages drawing paths significantly, and have the vague feeling executioner players already don't care to draw paths.

I just feel like while the change successfully targets the problem of the executioner's zoning ability it also significantly damages his unique ability to corrupt the trail grounds, and I find this very sad. I just wonder if there could be some kind of elegant condition where Rites of Judgement is only slowed in or around chases, allowing the executioner to draw trails as he does now.

I agree slowing down his movespeed while using his power is a bad change

As someone who loves Pyramid Head I hardly love the changes including the nerfs. It's really sad when I go against PH that don't use Punishment at all and just hold it for zoning. I feel like this will incentive more using of the power rather than just zoning. It's great change. If anything can be changed, but doesn't has to, I'd keep him 110 % while drawing rites when out of chase. maybe even 115 %.

Edit: There will be add ons that modify Punishment too, not just boring range add ons. Si I'm really curios for the wider or shapeable power.

The way he can just run behind you, and M1 you if he gets close enough or M2 you if you try to use a pallet or window is stupid. He is also already easily a top 10 killer, he shouldn't get any buffs without compensation nerfs.

Indeed. It will make people zoning less and use power more. I always felt like the only one who tries despite he got some cooldown buffs. His zoning will be weaker not nonexisting.

The funny thing is the anti tunnel changes don‘t do anything. You will never get to a cage in 10 seconds of the endurance and on redit they confirmed that the cages still won‘t activate anti tunnel perks.

I‘m not a fan of the slower movement speed, so I hope this gets scrapped but if the change is very minor it could just be fine.

It's a good change. He created a lot of lose-lose scenarios with his power. Giving basekit range and opening up those addon slots for other effects (along with getting better addons in general) makes up for it imo

If you find yourself in a lose-lose situation as a survivor, you've already made a mistake.

I used to play PH a lot (Now Pig/Drac). One of the safest methods to play him was to use Rites in a loop to force a hit at an animation lock or zone into M1. Kinda felt a bit boring, so hopefully some of that zoning is being offloaded onto more persistent Judgement Trails and a Hinder addon (although I'd much prefer a small Hinder being base-kit when running across Judgement Trails, useful to "Trap" certain loops).

I also never really bothered to pre-place Judgement Trails before as they fell-off too quickly for my taste.

Don't know how much addons are going to help him going forward (can't wait to read the patch notes), but I would agree with no addons it does seem like he's going to be made more difficult.

We'll need to see how they change his addons, but longer lasting Judgement Trails (don't yet know how much longer) could mean Judgement Trail pre-placement could be used as a kind of Trap/Hazard to push survivors off certain loops.

on one hand this feels like complaining even though he got possibly one of the biggest buffs from the addon pass
including to consider that he got those nerfs probably since his stats are close to what they want him to be, maybe even higher then that

on the other hand you could suggest other nerf changes like giving him a longer cooldown if he misses, incentivising to actually hit your shots, rather then spamming them like most ppl do.
unlike most people, i like the slowdown when using power, because in most situations, if he fakes and doesnt commit to doing power, you most likely make the survivor into a lose/lose situation of tanking the m2 or m1.

maybe theres another way of punishing that or slowing him down doesnt punish him at all, but again, i got no clue since ptb isnt out yet

those nerfs seem bad but we havent really be able to test it out yet, so assuming so, is in bad faith.

could you try the ptb first before suggesting to remove nerfs?.

In Asia, the Executioner is a fairly low-ranked killer.

I think it makes sense to weaken his cage to counter tunneling. His cage was too strong.

But making him slower when using his ability is a strange change.
It's wrong to try to destroy the Killer's strengths and make him a character without any distinctive features.

We should adjust his abilities while keeping his strengths.

I agree. I feel that more add ons tied to punishment of damned and longer lasting trails will be not only more interactive and viable to play but will make PH feel better. I love playing him and it has always dissapointed me that no one is going for snipes but only zone. From me it's 10/10 change and people who love PH will realize that he will be in much better state for both sides.

There's no need for a change that slows him down when using the ability.

Weakening the cage should be more than enough to satisfy the law of equivalent exchange in response to the add-on changes.
