Bloodweb exploit

Defnotmeghead Member Posts: 290

Platform:
PC

Summary:
After testing, I can consistently get additional addons/offerings/items (4-10) from the bloodweb for merely 2000-2500 bloodpoints

How to reproduce the exploit:
1. Have enough bloodpoints.
2. Purchase everything inside the bloodweb except for 1 low cost slot (which, is very easy to either get Common or Uncommon rarity for your last one, almost guaranteed)
3. DO NOT PURCHASE THE LAST SLOT
4. Take note of how many bloodpoints there are (at least enough to buy the last slot in the bloodweb)
5. Go to the autospend feature, and auto level up 1 level for the cost of the final slot (which, consistently can be 2000-2500 Bloodpoints)
6. You will recieve anywhere from 4 to 10 slots based on what is on the bloodweb, depending on how far you are in the leveling system. This can get randomized, but not guaranteed. Aka, if there is a Rainbow Map, a Commodius toolbox, a Masquerade Flashlight and Worn-Out tools on the bloodweb, you can, as an example, get Brand New Part, Emergency Medkit, Coconut Scream Pie and Faint Reagent, normally costing you 12250 Bloodpoints, for a mere 2000 bloodpoints.

Ofcourse, its a tedious process so even with this being posted here I doubt people will abuse it too much, but you can almost effectively double your inventory at the same cost while waiting for the next match. For some reason, this doesnt happen when Prestige 100 level 50.

Step by step reproduction through screenshots:
1 item to go, either costing 2000 or 2500 BP. 341.536 Bloodpoints to spend

Leveling up to the next level with autospending only costs 2000 due to the last item being a common item:

Recieve 21750 bloodpoints worth of inventory:

bloodpoints have only been reduced from 341.536 to 339.536.

Purely to show how repeatable this is, same steps, same logic:

From 320536 to 318536, with 22500 bloodpoints worth of inventory slots for the cost of only 2000 bloodpoints

I tested this to see if what you're demonstrating is true, but I believe you're mistaking the "Bloodweb Unlocks" screen as telling you that you just received those items. I tried this on a character I never play, saw that I only owned 9 of a certain purple addon. This addon was in my current bloodweb. I did as you instructed, claimed everything down to the last common item, including the purple addon. Checked my inventory, it was now at 10. I used the "Spend Bloodpoints" skip, as per your demonstration, and the "Bloodweb Unlocks" only showed what I had just manually spent my BP on. I checked my inventory, and it did not in fact duplicate those items. The purple addon was still at 10.

Unless if I'm not understanding your explanation properly, the screenshots you showed have the exact same items you manually redeemed listed as the "4-10 slots" that you "receive" for 2000 bloodpoints. And as I just tested, it shows the same thing for me, but doesn't give me the items twice.

    Am I missing something here?

Odd, because depending on the situation, I do get additional slots in my inventory, especially if they get randomized (which, seems to happen randomly, the only significant time I've seen it happen while testing it out is during a prestige). I've had times where there were 0 cakes on my bloodweb, but 2 event slots. Use the autospend trigger, and then get 2 cakes on that list on top of the event slots I had originally on the web.

What I did find out in the meantime, is that relogging does kinda "reset" the randomized effect and doesnt seem to happen untill you've played at least 1 game, so perhaps its tied on how you enter a lobby.
