We need a way to permanently upgrade general perks
It would be so helpful, especially during events like these where everyone is on sale, because I have like eight new survivors. So not only do I have to prestige all of the survivors whose perks I want, I also have to level up every new survivor I get (not just during this event but any survivor I get in the future) to get the general perks I want. If I used the general killer perks, I'd have this issue twice over.
Getting a killer/survivor to prestige 3 solves the issue for their perks forever, but there's no way to even get tier 1 of the general perks already in your inventory, let alone tier 3.

heck yeah

I've always thought it weird the general perks weren't automatically available at least at tier one.
2 -
yeah, but even if they were just at tier 1 it still wouldn't solve the issue, just reduce it, so idk

we dont need perk tiers at all

I kinda get not having tier three automatically unlocked. If you did a new character would have access to every perk after only 6 levels.

Another thing is free killers perks in shrine thats the thing that annoys me for some years you get them just leveling the killers that you have from the start. They just take away option for more dlc killers perk to be available for newer players. General perks should be unlocked from the start thats. But most of their tier one sucks so you still need to lvl up the character but now with new bloodweb mechsnic its much faster.

I think that's a good thing, I shouldn't have to grind thousands of blood points just to get deja vu for the 30th time. Besides, if you do get every killer/survivor to p3, you should be able to just have every perk from the start, that's the whole point of the benefit.

I can see that argument.

Getting any new survivor/killer to P1 will get you every general perk, which you need to do anyways to unlock the teachable. Only time this is not true is when you don't have the other survivors/killers at P3.

Not to be rude, but you quite literally described the issue I have as if it was the solution.
A prestige level is about 1mil bloodpoints. Even if 1 prestige each is enough, I need 8 mil total. But each one I prestige makes the others harder. And that's all to effectively just use them as skins

How is it making it harder? If P1 is the goal, then yes it gets harder if you plan on using that character outside of unlocking perks for your main.
If you want full perks then P3 must be the goal for all charaters to save time later. That way every new character you get will have every perk by P1. In fact, characters have full perks in the P0-40s.
Maybe it's because of my experience with this game, but I find 8 million not to be a large amount or even a big ask with how easy it is to get now. All perks before this system, used to take 8 million just for one character. And the amount required increased with each chapter because 9 more perk levels per character. It was a hell of a grind.

The problem is that I'm doing all of those 8 million for one perk
I already have Claudette and Orela at p3, that was 6 million for six perks.
Even if you consider that I only wanted three of those perks, that's still 2 million per perk forever on all characters instead of 8 million to get one perk on eight characters individually
for being general perks that everyone has access too, they are vastly inefficient to obtain. Even if you have every other survivor at p1 only, the general perks take 50% more upgrades to get to tier 3.
Besides, something being worse in the past does not mean it is not bad now. Improvements does not mean more improvements shouldn't be done.

Are you doing it for one perk or to unlock that survivors perks? I mean if you are just looking to play that survivor you still need to get to P0-15 to unlock the perk slots. Some investment is required.
The way I see it, you have two survivors at P3 but if you want more than just tier 1 of the other survivors perks you will need toburn more bloodwebs just to unlock them on one character. It is better in the long run to level every survivor you want perks from to P3. That way when a new survivor comes out you want, you can just pour 1 mil to have everything unlocked. 1 mil really isn't that much even for someone that plays sparingly.
I guess the disconnect is you are not looking at the game long term. Which is fine, not everybody is going to play DBD for years. But BP needs to be used for something. A game that gives everything up front wouldn't last 9 years.

No, I can't just get the survivor to level 15, that's the entire issue here.
Your solution is to get every survivor I want to get the perks from to p3, that's the good part of the mechanic. That's the standard I'm using for the general perks
but also no, I can't just spend 1 million to get every perk on that survivor. You are correct in that it would get you all of the general perks. However. That would also get the survivor to p1, and suddenly the job is harder for every other survivor I get forever because then that survivor's perks are added to the bloodweb. Unless I get them to p3, so I gotta do that too
so its not that I need 1 million per survivor. I need 3 million per survivor
And as I said, I got 8 new survivors this anniversary event
so I need to spend 24 million bloodpoints
for ONE perk
that's 8 times more expensive then unlocking a character's THREE perks FOREVER
and then I gotta repeat the three million for every future survivor I get
And I am thinking of the long term. I'm thinking "wow I'm going to have to p3 every survivor I ever get from here on out just so that I can use deja vu, that really sucks a lot"

That would also get the survivor to p1, and suddenly the job is harder for every other survivor I get forever because then that survivor's perks are added to the bloodweb.
I didn't know that was the case for you. You can get all the common perks before reaching P1-1. Most of the time it's around P0-44.
But you seem to be only thinking of minimalistic approach to this, only unlocking perks you want, which I cannot relate. I find getting characters to P3 to be more efficient in the long run. But that does not seem to be your goal.

That is not my goal, and that's what I've been talking about this whole time. But even if you do want every survivor p3, the general perks are still massively inefficient to obtain and take way, way longer then they need to

Not if you P3 a survivor. Only if you level how you are leveling.
