Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

brightness settings

Why do so many players play with maximum brightness and no shadows (as it seems to me)?I go on Twitch, and most players see everything perfectly at any distance.

If there's no way to adjust sound settings in the game (including distracting ones), then why is it possible to adjust graphic settings? They give an unfair advantage.

It would be logical to disable them too.

Because you can (for the most part) adjust brightness with your monitor settings for example, so it would give people having a monitor with that setting an advantage compared to those that don’t have that setting on their monitor

IMHO it is not an unfair advantage, as every player (survivor and killer) can change their graphics setting ; whereas removing it would give an advantage only to players with specific hardware

Monitor colors dont show up on OBS or whatever they are doing to adjust colors.

They show up for the physical use only like for the person looking at the monitor physically.

But i do know what they are doing, there are many 3rd party open source programs that do reshades, adjust HUI and other lumen variables.

Then there is nvidia tool to apply filters, plus ability to remove foliage or hinder it using LOD bias settings.

The streamers you see on platform do this to gain unfair advantage
