Licensed Killer Request: Demogorgon
The Demogorgon from Stranger Things is bipedal and should be human-shaped enough that the only appendage needing a lot of work is the head.
Its power would be like the Hag + the Nightmare:
- It can place up to x portals to the Upside Down realm (similar to the nightmare realm)
- The portals cannot be seen by survivors (but can be detected with Small Game and flashlights)
- Once a survivor walks through a portal:
- The environment turns dark and foggy
- The portal closes behind them and their aura is revealed to the killer for t seconds
- An exit portal spawns in a random location on the map, and after an amount of time is highlighted in white for both the survivor and the killer to see (like the Pig's Macabre Devices)
- Each survivor that enters the Upside Down will spawn an exit, and survivors may interact with any of the exits
- Survivors have to spend time interacting with the exit to escape, burrowing their way through a wall of mucus
- The exit is closed after being used by a survivor
- Survivors cannot see the auras of other survivors (unless they are in the same realm?)
- Survivors in the Upside Down cannot see the Demogorgon's red stain (nor its aura?)
- Detection perks like Spine Chill / Premonition do not work against the Demogorgon while in the Upside Down.
- Hex totems appear as dull totems to survivors in the Upside Down
The Demogorgon (or maybe "The Mouth?") is more powerful against survivors who are in the Upside Down as it can mind-game against them better in chases, but getting them into the Upside Down is not as easy as putting survivors to sleep like the Nightmare. As more survivors enter the Upside Down, more exit portals become available, so hopefully there's balance in that.
I don't have any perks or addons flushed out.

Maybe a killer perk called True Sight: You become obsessed with one survivor. Whenever your obsession can see your aura, you can see their aura as well as the auras of survivors within x/y/z meters of them.
It would be like from season two of Stranger Things.

Hmm, as potentially powerful as the Upside Down can make the killer, getting survivors into the Upside Down seems to be too tough. Maybe limit how fast they can leave the realm, by up'ing the timer before the portals spawn or by limiting the number of exit portals.
Maybe only have one exit portal spawn at a time, regardless of how many survivors have entered the Upside Down. This way survivors have to race to / fight over the one available exit and wait for a cooldown after somone uses it before another exit spawns.

Maybe have the exit spawn as soon as a survivor enters the Upside Down, but it only makes a whooshing hatch sound instead of being shown in white. Survivors can immediately begin looking for the exit, but have to keep an ear out for it.
With this change, I'd recommend another: after a survivor enters the Upside Down and the portal closes behind them a special noise notification is shown to the killer instead of the survivor's aura.

Imagine playing against the Hag. You can see her red stain, but you can't really see her marks/traps. Now, imagine tripping one of the traps and the world becomes dark with ashes floating around (like the Nightmare's dream realm). The killer either sees your aura briefly, or is shown a special noise notification (like a survivor stepping in the Trapper's trap). Their red stain is gone or hard to see (like the Shape with Evil WIthin I), every totem appears to be dull, and you cannot see the auras of your fellow survivors.
You can escape (wake up) by locating an exit portal and interacting with it. Locate it either by sound or by aura (depending on how the devs want to reveal them to survivors). Interacting takes some time before you're back into the Entity's realm and the killer's red stain and hex totems have returned to normal.

This sounds really awesome. Count me in on this.

Curious to see how they flushed out the Demogorgon's power, and how similar it is to either the show or my suggestion.
