Killer Rework: The Shape (Michael Myers) (his time has come)
🔪🎃 Power – Manifest Evil:
“You feel it in your chest, the slow breathing, the stillness… He’s watching. But is it really him?”
Michael Myers can place Manifestations, haunting, motionless illusions of himself across the map blending in with it. These ghostly projections strike terror into the hearts of survivors by blurring the line between presence and paranoia.
Manifestation Details:
- Myers can place up to 1 - 2 Manifestations at a time.
- Manifestations are visually identical to Myers and never despawn unless replaced or triggered.
- They are undestroyable.
- They do not move unless activated, and they do not block survivors.
Audio Effects:
- Survivors within 20 meters of a Manifestation hear loud, distorted breathing heavier than Myers usual Tier 1.
- Within 10 meters and while looking at the Manifestation:
- A distorted chase music cue begins.
- The Manifestation activates and slowly walks toward the survivor, floating eerily.
- Activation has a 15s cooldown after being triggered after escaping the chase.
Manifestation will trigger a sound queue when triggering and approaching to make survivors aware
Triggered Manifestation Effect:
If a survivor bumps into or is touched by an active Manifestation:
- The survivor screams (Killer Instinct ping).
- Suffers Hindered (-15% movement for 3 or 6 seconds).
- Suffers Exposed for 4-8 seconds.
- Myers receives a global sound cue and an aura flash of the affected survivor.
- The Manifestation returns to dormancy (15s cooldown before it can trigger again).
Sound that survivors hear if they bump into manifested evil
Special Mechanic: “Evil Presence”
- Injured survivors hear indistinguishable audio from real Myers when near a Manifestation.
- Chase music, breathing, and red stain mimic the real killer upon triggering the manifestation up close.
- When the exit gates get powered the breathing will intensify and echo around the entire map
Tactical Uses:
- Fake loops and corners to catch survivors off guard as the manifestation vanishes once real michael is nearby chasing leaving the TR at the last place where manifestation was
- Place Manifestations nearby hooked survivors, gens, or windows for psychological pressure.
- Use audio as misdirection to cause panic and reveal positions.
Summary:
This version of The Shape focuses on psychological horror, deception, and relentless fear. Survivors never know if they’re being watched by the real killer or by his ghostly silhouette. Every breath could be real. Every movement a trap.
Michael will keep his current stalking ability as well making him go from EW 1 --> EW 3
The Shape is no longer just stalking you…
He’s already there.

The manifestation will always remain undetectable in tier 1.
The terror radius will remain what it is for the killer at EW 1.
Current perks will still show the real killer no matter what.

So you want to completely change how a character with a solid playerbase works, and turn him into a knock off Knight? That seems like a bad idea.

No I want him to keep his same abilities but have an extra one which will be a hybrid knight, unknown, doctor version but not the same and way slower and only for jumpscare, info, mobility, map control.
After all every killer has been getting a rework so why not michael the og killer that evolved the current mechanic for other killers.
Also this would rework his basekit + devs should really rework the singular playstyle everyone says that he is only viable as a killer and apperently its the tombstone.

Because it doesn't match his appearence in the movies at all, would overcomplicate him, make him less unique, and changes his playstyle into going for Knight-esque Sandwiches

If you really watched the original movie + other movies this is exactly what he does, appears in people visions, dreams, mirrors, windows.
Plus there are many other licensed characters that strive away from their actual capabilities from movies.
IF anything this will give him somewhat realistic approach to being a killer that is not to be slept on.
He would have his own unique playstyle which jumpscares people and unlike knight that chases u across the map and can injure and down you, michael one wont do that just make u scream and ping
