Franklin too... It was my favorite perk, and it's now completely useless :(
-2 -
Were these bugs fixed?:
Plague audio bug that plays her power canceling audio whenever she uses her power.
Hag/Trapper bug where they can't place traps in the Ormond main building.
Houndmaster bugs which removed her stun voicelines, made her face be wrong during moris, and causing snug to get stuck on things.

Expected more effort when it comes to PTB changes, not going to lie. Clown in particular. All of his best addons are still slaughtered, Pinky Finger still is a waste of iri addon slot and throwing yellow bottles at your feet 24/7 like a monkey still is the optimal way to use them.
3 -
Streetwise too… :(
All I wanted was the old effect back.

He's getting buffed tho?
-1 -
And the Fog Vials are now just "anti-Spirit" items. No sound at all? No grunts of pain, no breathing, no footsteps. And it has infinite uses, so it will be available for every single chase. Absolutely busted af. I think this is the patch that makes me take another break from this game.
-9 -
- Decreased the Hindered effect linger time from Afterpiece Tonic gas clouds to 1 second (was 2).
This is the patch note that kills him.
-5 -
The Fog Vial's red add-on was the only thing that could make this item minimally functional, but not only has it been nerfed in a way that is ridiculous to call it visceral, but the item itself has been butched even before it could hit the live server, and now it's practically useless.
Please complain again when survivors continue to use Medkits and Toolboxes.
-1 -
If you ignore the many buffs, ok
3 -
The base item was buffed from PTB to live. It's more opaque and completely mutes ALL survivor audio. No vault noises, no grunts of pain. No breathing. No footsteps. No noise at all.

Those are inconsequential next to that one patch note that makes his purple bottles basically useless.
-6 -
RIP Franklins :(

So, I'll have to test how playing against the fog jars really plays out, but I cannot understand why they don't get charges.
Every item a survivor can bring has charges, why make an exception for them? Being able to use them infinitely is insane in my opinion.
Survivors (in my opinion) have to make each usage of any resource count one or the other way as at some point, they are depleted.
Please make the usage of the smoke more risk/reward kind of type.
I'm also scpetical on the "survivors make no sound at all". Survivor gets injured, throws smoke bomb, gets free 100% Iron will. I dunnooooo. I don't like it.3 -
This is supposed to be fair and balanced? Are you kidding?
5 -
Poor Clown lost all his good addons and had his purple bottles killed.
4 -
wow they did listen about franklin's overwhelming negative feedback
and ignored it.
nice.
7 -
Buffing Pyramid Head and nerfing Clown in the same update… you guys are so out of touch that it's just infuriating at this point

NEW SURVIVOR ITEM: FOG VIAL
Press the Use Item button to release a cloud of fog, decreasing visibility, suppressing scratch marks, auras, and Survivor sounds within its radius. Recharges over time.
Removing the survivor sounds completely is a really bad change and messes even more with killer players, especially when the item also removes scratch marks and auras. The killer player has nothing to track survivors within the fog and this is just awful, especially when the item is completely free and easy to use. Players need at least some audio information to keep track on survivors. The audio in this is already really bad and unreliable and messing with it even more is just a bad decision. I also don't think it will help players who already struggle with sounds.
I also don't understand why you changed nothing despite all the Franklin's feedback. So many players spent so much time and effort in explaining why this is a bad change and you ignored all of this feedback? Why?
1 -
Disappointed Blood Amber still got pushed through as a nerf and higher Rarity to boot.
5 -
Also note the patch notes say survivor noises get removed, but doesn't say killer noises get removed. It's a magical fog, I guess.
1 -
Good-bye, Franklin's. I will miss you 😢

And RIP old Streetwise.
3 -
Is that base item?
Or with the iri?
1 -
I feel like thats not nearly as big of a change as ppl make it out to be since a large part of the value is the Slowdown while IN the cloud.
0 -
Even if he is, this (unneeded) rework killed his playstyle and identity for no reason.
-1 -
That is with the Iri
That is the base item on the Garden Of Joy. BHVR decided to buff the opacity of the base item, even though they made ZERO NERFS to the other things this item hides.
And according to the patch notes, the fog magically removes survivor noises, but doesn't remove killer noises. As in, survivors are still completely silent, but it's "supposed to be ok" because it doesn't make the muffled noise anymore.
3 -
Can you please buff insidious.
- New effect: Extends undetectable status effects by 5 seconds.
- New effect: At the start of the trial you become undetectable for 20 seconds (with the extending 25s).
11 -
Blood Amber getting a rarity upgrade alongside a humongous nerf is quite a BHVR moment.
4 -
That's absolutely disgusting. This might be the worst patch they've released in a loooooong time. "Heal one survivor and get infinite unbreakable! Here's an item that covers half the map and makes you completely undetectable by any means! By the way, we murdered a C tier killer and introduced a new item that drops a popular A tier killer into the dumpster! Have fun!"

Only if you considered crutching on pink bottles and never using yellows his playstyle/identity, in which case, good?
-8 -
- Guys, stay calm, medikits and toolboxes will still be the survivors' best friends. 🤣
-2 -
BHVR basically took the event fog crystals, made the area up to 2.7 TIMES LARGER, then added survivor audio removal, and survivor aura removal. And made the item automatically recharge.
This is beyond awful. How on earth was the fog crystals considered "too weak", and that we needed all these things added to it???
1 -
In my opinion, the only change the Fog Vials needed from PTB to live was removing the audio muffling.
I would maybe consider making it take away footstep sounds, so you can still hear the grunts of pain and actions, but not a complete audio removal.
-2 -
As a Spirit main… I don't even want to play anymore. At least not right now. There's no point. Everyone and their brother will be using the item that basically removes her entire power, so you won't even be able to lobby dodge it. Which is what you'll have to do. Spirit will now have to dodge any lobby that has a Fog Vial, just like Trapper did with maps or Wraith did with flashlights.
-1 -
? I've been using yellow bottles extensively ever since they were implemented. Yellows were in the perfect spot during Clown's previous iteration, they were very efficient support tools giving him some map/carry mobility and increasing the lethality of the purples (his main offensive tool) in many loops. And if you wanted to sway the power balance more towards yellow then you could thanks to addons (the majority of Clowns I went against for the past year were running the now-demise Cigar Box so yellows weren't even underused too).

I don't even want to play killer at all now. I didn't want to play killer during the Haunted event with the for crystals, and these are way more powerful than the for crystals.

- When all remaining Survivors are hooked simultaneously, they will all skip to the sacrifice sequence.
Even on first Hook? Even with a Luck Offering or Slippery Meat or Up the Ante or Wicked or Deliverance? Was this the solution to people having to hang on Hook with no hope of rescue but unable to do anything because 3+ Survivors were still alive in the Trial and they didn't have a specific Perk or Offering? You just die?
4 -
Hey folks. I really appreciate all of your feedback on the Fog Vial in here. We're actively collecting this feedback in order to bring it back to the team, so please know, it's being read.
As you get chances to encounter this item in the wild, please don't hesitate to share your in-game experiences here. Specifics about what feels good and what doesn't (like the note about The Spirit above!) are super helpful.
-9 -
I can't rename cosmetic loadouts for survivors or killers (playing on Xbox). Perk loadouts are renameable though, for some reason. Anyone else have this issue?
2 -
Spirit's power is that she operates on an "alternate plane" while phasing, right? So why can't we just make that "alternate plane" immune to the effects of Fog Vials?
-3 -
Yes, this can occur while Survivors are on first hook if everyone ends up being hooked simultaneously. Players are able to use any available methods to unhook themselves (i.e. luck offerings and certain perks) before the final Survivor is hooked, though.
-1 -
I'm rather disappointed that you guys didn't act on the feedback regarding The Executioner. Increasing the duration of Rites of Judgement still encourages the killer to hold power until they're right behind the survivor, leading to an easy hit with either an M1 or M2 (especially because the survivor loses distance with each attempt to juke or dodge). I remember my feedback on this is Pyramid Head has to at least be 4.0 m/s while using Rites Of Judgement for it to feel fair.
I'm also surprised that Fog Vials weren't heavily reworked or delayed, as the mass amounts of feedback were against their PTB state. Giving an item infinite recharges is a bit concerning, especially when every other item cannot do that. By making Fog Vials infinite, you discourage players from swapping items when theirs run out; further discouraging using chests.
Also removing Franklins’ charge drain, while it is annoying, feels like a slap to the face to killers at the moment. We are in the middle of an aggressive healing meta with a lack of item variety. Franklins is the only way to counter medkits & toolboxes other than Leverage & Weeping Wounds. I firmly believe you removed this not because you thought it was strong but because you didn't know how to work it with this new charge system that you created. Fog Vials in particular would’ve countered this due to their recharge feature. This is likely also why Streetwise got changed. You came up with a new charge system, while keeping some of the old charge system, & made the perks that impacted these redundant.

It's literally all the killers that feel miserable now.
Giving survivors an large AoE that blocks survivor audio, and scratchmarks, and auras, is enough to be an entire item by itself, even if it didn't have a fog effect at all.
If a killer gets flashlight blinded while they are breaking a pallet, then the killer has zero clue where the survivor went, because they can't hear the survivor, and the survivor doesn't leave scratchmarks.
Why is it so important that killer stuff has counterplay for survivors…. but the fog vials are allowed to block visual, AND audio, AND auras, AND scratchmarks?
- if the iri addon is going to raise opacity as much as it does, it should reduce the range to 4 meters, so that it's 6 meters with the +range addon, which is the same range as the fog crystals were.
- Fog vials just shouldn't reduce audio at all. It feels absolutely awful that so many people showed concern about the audio removal, and BHVR removed the muffled sound effect, and decided that fixed the complaints about the audio removal.
5 -
I've made a specific point of passing along your concerns about how The Spirit's power interacts with Fog Vials 👍️
-1 -
How can it be trusted that any feedback will be listened to when the Franklin's changes and the worst of the Clown changes made it through, despite all the negative feedback?
4 -
Why would you need to purposely manipulate the matchmaking against flashlights as Wraith or maps as Trapper?
2 -
Can you allow everyone to try to unhook themselves in this situation instead like it was a while ago?
