Chase is extremely bugged
SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: So I tried playing scratched mirror myers for the "Interrupt and Grab 1 Survivor" quest. And chase is extremely buggy. At some point in the match, chases didn't start registering unless I actually hit the Survivor.
PLATFORM: PC
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:

Shack is effectively unbeatable unless running bamboozle, as the windows dont block due to chase not starting. Survivors can vault back and forth endlessly.

this kind of bug should not exist, you guys need to do internal testing. I was so hyped for this update.

Not only Shack but a lot of main buildings as well. Without bloodlust and window blockers... Playing pretty much any M1 killer right now just isn't viable.

Not able to enter chase until you melee hit them is atrocious, but also there are missions to play as trapper and huntress and I am unable to lunge at all when performing a basic attack. It stops short. Also, there is a graphical issue at the offering screen where there is a large steel beam-looking png overlayed on the top left of the screen.

can confirm - ive had three killer matches and no chase until i hit them but if they run in staright line, im out of chase instantly

also can confirm these fog vials also stopping you from doing certain tome challenges even with chase music

I have some video footage of the bug occurring to me sometime after catching a survivor in a locker and hooking them, no fog vials were present.
Here's a clip where I only start a chase by hitting a survivor, I'm unable to retain it while I chase it too, you can see the chase end just before I get stunned by the score event.Logs included for developers.

I also have this same issue with chases not starting.

I don't think I did anything special. I just noticed that chase was starting to drop a lot during one game with Onryo in Forgotten ruins, and then chase simply would not start at all until I hit a survivor.
I will also upload a log.
Hope you can figure out what is wrong and fix this soon!

This is fog vials. They are causing this issue.
If you enter fog vial radius while in chase and chase ends there, you are unable to start any chase for the rest of the match.
Only way to start a chase is to hit someone, and thats it!
Windows are not blocking, you are not gaining bloodlust surviviors can easelly abuse this.-1 -
I just had this happen with the Executioner. Survivors didn't have any fog vials.

Same but i played a few. When they have fog vials i couldnt start a chase.
When they have not, its working as intended.
Im not 100% sure is it fog vial or executioner problem…0 -
It has nothing to do with Fog Vials. Maybe their implementation caused it, but you can load into a custom bot game and test this.
Chase begins as normal, but upon losing LoS you can no longer trigger chase until you hit a survivor, which then starts and subsequently ends chase again as soon as they break LoS once more.
