Are you going to do the featured map for Fallen Refuge?
Hi,
When the new map for FNAF came out, you did a featured map for a couple days. I also believe you said the community enjoyed that so you would be doing that for all future maps.
With TWD now out, I have played 7 hours, burned 24 Withered Isle offerings, and gotten the map 0 times. On top of that you made an achievement to get a gen done and escape on that map. Please either revert the map offering changes or reinstate your featured map like you just had.

like to know why Fallen Refuge has a achievement for it and Freddy Fazbear's Pizza doesn't.
23 -
Exactly. At least that one would have been fairly easy to get with the map being featured almost a week. This achievement is purely by chance. It also happens to be the only achievement I do not have.
5 -
I would also appreciate the featured map queue for this new map being implemented.
4 -
While we don't plan to have a separate queue for Fallen Refuge, I can confirm that the team has adjusted the map weighting to give this map a greater chance of showing up for players for the next week.
5 -
Didn‘t you want to do a separate que for every new map? What happened to that?
10 -
Honestly, valid question! Separate queues are one of the tools we have to support new content when it first releases in the game. While there will likely be edge cases (like with Fallen Refuge) where we don't use this, it is something we intend to use more often as we look to the future!
All that to say, I'm making sure that it's communicated to the team as feedback that there was interest in having had a separate queue for Fallen Refuge.

Thanks for the answer. I just was curious because someone from behavior said you are going to do it for all new maps from now on.
2 -
I think yall made the right choice just boosting this level instead of giving it a queue.
-1 -
Please, If the map has an achievement/trophy related to it. Please create a separate queue for the map.
6 -
This is valid right now? Also, would you kindly suggest to the team to do a separate queue for maps with achievements in a weekly rotation? Or to increase to a much higher chance to go into maps with achievements in a weekly rotation?
Thanks

Please make sure the "greater chance" is 20%+ or so, so it's a meaningful chance and I don't have to spend every minute of my free time over the next week trying to complete this.
5 -
I played the FNAF map for the first time yesterday and totally got the achievement that doesn't exist. So in my mind, I have it lmao
2 -
Can confirm, the increased map weighting for Fallen Refuge is currently active. And that's great feedback! I can absolutely bring that back to the team. Thank you!

Is this true? The odds haven't in fact been lowered?
It's been 3 days now, and by the sound of things many players have yet to see the map at all.
With offerings being brderline useless (a high chance of doing nothing, getting the wrong map if they do work, and being a pain to farm from blood webs)
6 -
Can you explain why this is even a map to begin with. It was only intended to be a placeholder to show off the new tile then suddenly BHVR shoves it in as a new map which is barely seen by any players as you guys don't seem to want to promote your new map.
Why wouldn't you want to promote something that you worked on and have on live servers?4 -
why was there no achievement Freddy Fazbear's Pizza?
1 -
I been on the map one time as killer, yea maps offering are useless every map I play takes me to map i didn't play the % needs to be higher or get rid of the offerings.
3 -
Do you recommend not using a map offering then since it is "boosted?" Because I have now used over 40 Withered Aisles and have yet to play it.
5 -
Weird, I haven't seen it once in like two days. I've been burning offerings for it too.
8 -
Yeah, I'm wondering if there was a mistake and they accidentally boosted Garden of Joy instead, because out of the 14 games I've played since the Community Manager post about the boosted rate, I've seen it about 4 times and the new map only once (I died, so no achievement there).
5 -
map boosted yet still not getting it even with map offering lol wow.
7 -
I mean, also with all the hard tunneling, I'd need to see the map like 10-15 times to have a chance to complete the correct gen and also escape.
4 -
I feel like an awful human being, but I am literally going into every match with my "solo escape" build in the very rare chance I even see the map.
Distortion
Left Behind
Open Handed
Sole Survivor
And a Key
Im still unhooking, and doing gens but if I ever get the map I might play like a worthless teammate.

@ThatRyanB Can we come to a happy medium and make it featured for a weekend instead of how long FNAF was? To satiate the player base and all us achievement hunters. If you don't get it done then, then you just need ridiculous luck.
5 -
Yeah, since they've removed map offerings being guaranteed they should at least run an event queue whenever there's a new map so it's easier to get the achievement when it releases.
6 -
I'm fine to wait for a dedicated queue (even if it takes few weeks to set up if it requires a client patch) if BHVR can commit to it, I just don't want to fruitlessly grind on the promise of the current map boost that many of us aren't actually seeing in action.
3 -
Yeah...having to go through all Withered Isle offerings across several Survivors just to get the right realm four times and never getting the actual map is just annoying.
Reminds me of the "Hand-Eye Coordination" achievement a little, an achievement that is 90% luck to even attempt. I've played thousands of different games over the years, and it's honestly among the top 10 worst achievement designs I've seen. An achievement being extremely difficult ("Impossible Boy" from Super Meat Boy or "World Champion" from Ghost Recon for example) is fine since at the end of the day it's mostly skill with a bit of luck (cracked players can do them consistently), but luck-based achievements are just annoying, especially when the achievement can be outright denied by another player's actions (getting tunnelled out or the Killer quitting before you can do the right gen).
Like, every new map should have their own queue for about a week or keep one queue but have the map be 90% boosted for about a week or two. Not only would you get more feedback on said maps but people who want to actually play on the new map/get achievements won't rely on pure luck (which are the worst kinds of achievement design, especially for a game that has an ever-growing amount of content. Imagine a newcomer that likes achievement-hunting but then sees all those map-based achievements and has no way to meaningfully increase their chance to try to get the achievements. ).
Map offerings had their faults, but holy hell map-based achievements will be horrible to get unless there's some other meaningful way to increase your chances.
4 -
Yeah that hand eye achievement is absolutely insane. I brought my solo escape build every match for 2 weeks just going to go against a vecna. (At that point in time almost no one was using him) He killed me multiple times with it and finally found a nice one to let me go

Update:
3 more straight hours of playing and have yet to see the map
12 hours total since launch. Over 40 Withered aisle offerings. 0 attempts at Fallen Refuge
Update 2:
4 more hours without the map. Can we confirm it's boosted? Or am I actually the most unlucky person in history

It's not just you. Been trying to get the map for 2 days and I've yet to see it. I got the right realm a few times but never the right map.
I burned all Withered Isle offerings across 8 different Survivors, probably amounting to ≈40 offerings, for nothing.
If BHVR won't actually boost the map in a meaningful way or give it it's own queue, then at least make map offerings meaningful (not nearly guaranteed like before, but like 50% or 60%) or make it so if you don't get the map then you keep the offering.
With so many offerings without results, I think that when they gutted map offerings they also made it (accidentally or not) so it didn't bypass the anti-realm repetition anymore which means that if a single player in a lobby went to Withered Isle in their previous game then there's no way to go there. It's the only thing that makes sense as to why they just don't work.

Update #3
2.5 more hours. Went to Freddy Faze bear 2 times in garden of Joy 1 time. I swear this map doesn't even exist.
3 -
It's not been increased, I'm afraid.
New maps used to load every 2 - 3 games, plus map offerings actually were useful.
Without a working boost and without map offerings being useful, the new map needs a queue just like the FNAF map!
3 -
That's probably accurate, however the poorly thought out trophy/achievement tied to the map means quite a few people would like to play it. (Likely multiple times)
4 -
Update: holy….
Well the map exists. As soon as I run a stupid meme build with no offerings left. I get the map. (and the trophy in a ridiculously stressful match).
that wasn't fun at all, and the previous point about there needing to be a semi reliable way to play the map still stands.
glad it's over, best of luck to everyone still trying to play on the map.

I'm on the verge of losing it.
Finally got the map after burning around 50 offerings…and the Killer DCs before I can finish the middle gen because the first chase, I assume, lasted too long (Quite frankly I'm not even sure that a DC counts for Adepts). Haven't seen the map again since. I'm running out of Survivors that even have Withered Isle offerings.
Like, any new maps should have their own queue or be massively boosted for a week or two, especially since map offerings might as well not exist. Even more so when there's an achievement tied to it and there's so many maps in the game that without the old map offerings it's horrible to even get the maps.
There's no way that the map is boosted, if it is then it's either by a minuscule amount or the anti-realm repetition takes precedence over the boost.

Update:
Holy sweet Martha. First match after a long break and I got the map. Played a doctor who literally camped the middle gen for some reason. My brother gave his life to allow me to complete it. Teammate got hooked late and I had to be a garbage teammate and watch him die on first hook. Hit the hatch with a key and walked it off. Thank the Lord!

Have not gotten to play the map on live, but if it's still the same as PTB then I don't think I've missed much. The handling of this map/tile has been extremely disappointing from both a communication and gameplay standpoint imo.

In 20 games since the boost was announced, I got the new map twice. Thankfully, on the second try, a kind ghoul let me go after one of our players went AFK (because it was a ghoul) and I've gotten the achievement. Still, can't say that I saw the actual boost in that time, and may the rest of you going for this achievement also be as lucky.
1 -
try 4 map offering got it ones and freddy fazbear pizzeria 2 other time other maps.
btw when I got fallen refuge I did the right gen and got sacrificed.
0 -
sure because of the trophy/achievement
yea why did a map that was not meant to be a map trophy/achievement and freddy fazbear pizzeria didn't which I find odd no dev or Community Manager has not said why that is.
1 -
It's really annoying that there isn't a seperate queue for Fallen Refuge. The only achievement I'm missing is for repairing the Fallen Refuge gen and escaping. I have burned about 70 map offerings and only had Fallen Refuge twice.
4 -
Because there was no survivor released with the DLC. Fixing gens is a survivor achievement and when Behavior adds new characters to the game they add three achievements for the side the character was added. With survivors one is adept and other is usually the generator fix in the main building of the new map if there is one. As FNAF DLC did not have survivor they did not add survivor achievements because of it. Like with the new Walking Dead DLC the three achievements were the adepts for both Rick and Michone and the generator fix in the new map.

well that dumb reason because survivors got a new map too not just killers.
also keep hearing Fallen Refuge wasn't even meant to be a new map.
and gen to be done for achievement would been by the stages.
each chapter should have survivor and killer in minded because most I'm sure play both roles.
edit but glad no was no achievement now how map offering are.

It took three days of playing before I got to play on this map.
1 -
Donno about that one. I played for 6 hrs on Thursday and I only got Fallen Refuge only twice out of 20 matches.
But that just me.1 -
Honestly, I hope to never land on it as a survivor.
The thing is the size of Haddonfield, but with no houses or anything, just unsafe loops.
Plus, the entire area around shack? Empty space.

I had played like 150 trials as survivor this week, and i only got 3 fallen refuges map despite burning countless witheres isle offering. The map degisn is awful, and everytime i got this map i got my entire team tunneled by killer as i'm hopelessly watching them die and later on die myself as well.
Dear devs could we at least have seperate queue at least once a week for the maps that requires the achievement to do gen in the main building area ( ie. fallen refuge/open rpd doors 20 times and escape ) or even better idea, have map rotations like macmillan, withered isle, asylum, autoheaven wreckers, coldwind, ormond, mix of indoors maps, this way - everyone should be happy as the map offerings will become irrelevant if it comes to map rotations that changes once couple of days or whatever number.

Got the map yesterday.
First time in like month.
Finished the gen but got a serious Wesker who killed us all - except lucky hatch guy.
I am not actively trying the achievements but holy is this a difficult one. Get a super rare (pretty empty) map, repair a special gen in the only building where the killer mostly knows to always look after + escape… uff
