Direct hit with the deathslinger reeled back as a miss

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: I landed a direct hit on a survivor with the redeemer, it made the hit sound and the survivor did the animation as if they where hit but the harpoon reeled back as if it where a miss

PLATFORM: Xbox Series X

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: I hooked a survivor, looked around for a moment, found another survivor (A Rick Grimes) and he went towards shack where I then shot him, it made the sound, he did the animation, yet the harpoon reeled back as if it where a miss, this has happened multiple times and happened twice this match I unfortunately didn't get the clip of the first time as I was in a chase

    I played on PC and I'm pretty sure I experienced the same bug. Attached are a video clip and the log file. It's not as black and white as the OP's video, but you can clearly see blood and the survival reel back as if they were shot, only to have the shot cancelled.

    If it helps, I'm pretty sure the bug existed on the previous patch as well. A couple of days ago I played a match of slinger (on The Game, I believe) and had this bug happen multiple times in one game. Today, I played probably 10 matches before experiencing the bug.
