Once you have signed in, on the right hand side you can use the "report bug" button to be able to fully report the bug you've encountered. Thank you.
Issues with typing in chat and presets
SUMMARY: Typing in chat is bugged, once letters are typed you cannot backspace or delete text. I have only found this issue on the Survivor side, not Killer. Hitting Enter to change preset names also consistently changes the games mode to windowed if not already in windowed.
PLATFORM: Steam/PC
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:
When typing in end game chat, you cannot backspace more than one letter or by selecting text and hitting backspace. When trying to select a preset name to change in the lobby, the same issue occurs and hitting Enter consistently changes the Games mode from Fullscreen/Windowed Fullscreeen to Windowed.

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: only 2 letters appearing after typing
PLATFORM: PC Steam
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: Pre-game, after game works. Have to restart game to make chat pre-game work. Any typing on initial start-up results in only 2 letters. It's the last 2 letters typed.

After an affected match, please exit the game and follow these steps:
- Press the Windows Key + R to open the "Run" command.
- In the text box paste the following: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs
- Click "OK" - this will open your Dead by Daylight Logs folder.
- If it does not open the Dead by Daylight Logs folder, it may mean that when installing Dead by Daylight you chose to save your files somewhere else and will need to check there.
- The file called "DeadByDaylight.log" is your log file

It is quite literally every single Survivor game for me. Killer games I have no issues. But Survivor it's impossible to type in chat.

i've had this issue for a few months now, and my temporary (and pretty annoying) solution is to add a space at the end and then click the backspace key. when i add a space and then delete, it removes the space and the last letter i typed, effectively removing 2 characters as opposed to not being able to delete anything when just clicking the backspace key. repeat this a couple times and you should be able to delete text. not sure if this works for everyone or if this would fix your specific issue, but it has worked for me 9/10 times i've had an issue with deleting text.
