The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

I finally got the right map, finished the right gen... then the killer DC'd.
I came back to Dead by Daylight after a break of over two years. To make the game more engaging, I decided to work on some achievements, like healing in the basement etc.
Some of these are map-specific, such as repairing a generator on a particular map (e.g. gen in command center on Shelter Woods).
And honestly, it’s incredibly frustrating and heavily reliant on luck. Here's what has to happen:
- Since the map offering changes, there's only a 20% chance of getting your desired realm. For example, I used 7 offerings just to get 1 MacMillan Estate.
- Once you finally get the right realm, there are five possible map variants—and you need that one specific version (e.g., Shelter Woods). That’s another only 20% chance.
- So, let's say you finally get the exact map. Now, you have to complete 1 of 7 generators, located in a specific area. You can’t be hooked, dying, in a chase, repairing another gen, or healing. You have to be the one who finishes the specific gen.
- If you're playing solo queue, you also need to be lucky with your teammates—hoping they don’t disconnect in the first few seconds, that they're decent in chases, and that they actually do gens. Otherwise, there’s no chance of escaping.
- If all that goes well, you still need to survive and escape through the exit gate or hatch.
- BUT—if the killer disconnects (which can happen if they feel humiliated or just give up), even if you completed the specific gen and powered all gens, if you don’t escape through a gate or hatch, the progress doesn’t count. You have to start from scratch.
And that’s exactly what happened to me. Right after we finished the last gen, the killer disconnected.
Why don’t the devs add a killer bot in these cases? The bot wouldn’t even have to chase anyone—just stay AFK. Survivors who don’t want to continue could abandon, and those doing Adept or map-based challenges could finish what they started.

Odd, this is the second post I've seen on killers DCing and the other was yesterday. Before that nothing. What changed, why now? Is it real or just a campaign to get killer bots?
It's just very odd this topic is just popping up now.

Its definitely not a conspiracy or anything like that I’m just genuinely frustrated because it’s way too hard to get some of these achievements now.
They don’t even need to add bots necessarily — I’d be fine if, for example, the achievement still counted if you already finished the required gen and then the killer DCs. Like, why should all that effort go to waste?
Also, part of my frustration is how hard it is to even get the right map since the offering changes. The RNG layers are ridiculous: first the realm, then the exact map, then the right gen — and then you still have to survive and killer cant DC

Players may be frustrated due to the bugs associated with this chapter. There are more bugs that handicap you as killer than there are as survivor.

I'm surrpised. I see killer DCs maybe every 50-100 survivor matches. Usually they just chek out. I had a match with a baby Huntress the other day who got absolutely destroyed so they just stood on a building and threw hatchets into th sky. I tried to get them to farm so they could get some points but they didn't seem to understand and just ignored me.
Something’s been wrong with my own killer matches though. I've been booted quite a bit. I never get a penalty, so whatever the issue is, the system isn't flagging me as the offender. It's often right after an action, like I get hit with a pallet or a gen gets finished and suddenly I'm booted. The other day someone sent me an invite to play and it booted me out of a match.
I'm kinda surprised the achievement doesn't count tho. All they'd have to do is change it to a general escape instead of through hatch or gates.

Just wait until you try to get the Hand Eye Coordination achievement. You have to face a certain killer, and get a 5% lucky roll, and escape. So dumb.

Not to mention they always tunnel you out once they know you have it.

I’ve actually experienced a lot more killer DC ever since they took away the ability to give up on hook. Consequently I’ve also seen more posts about people feeling killer is harder since then too. My guess is that many got used to people giving up, making their matches a stomp.
I do agree with you. And I’ve been advocating for killer bots not just in the case of DC but also to be able to practice against them in customs for a very long time now. The fact that only one role has access to such a powerful resource for 2 years now is unfortunate.
