Game crashing upon returning from trial to menu/lobby
SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: Trials perform perfectly fine, as does the after-match screen showing my bloodpoints, experience, items lost/gained, etc. However, as soon as I leave this screen to return to the menu so that I can play again, my game crashes. This began with patch 9.1.0.
PLATFORM: Steam/PC
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: I am exiting the after-trial summary to return to the solo queue lobby to play as survivor or killer, which causes the game to crash. This happens with perfect consistency. I have played 6 matches since this update dropped, and I have crashed 6 times at the exact same time each time: leaving the after-trial summary upon the conclusion of a match.
PLAYER LOGS:
UPDATE (August 3rd, 2025): I finally left the "after"-game screen once without crashing! This occurred after someone had DC'ed during loading in, so the trial itself never occurred. Perhaps something in the trial itself is causing the issue? I have confirmed the crashes are happening even if no one uses a fog vial or Rick or Michonne's perks, or no one plays as Rick, Michonne, or Daryl, so it doesn't seem to be any of the big content of the update.
UPDATE (August 6th, 2025): Patch 9.1.1 / the first hotfix has not fixed this bug. When can we expect an update?

No way, I have been experiencing the same exact issue since the new chapter came out! I too am on Steam, PC and crash after every match, when I try returning to the main lobby. I tried everything to fix it, thinking it was my problem. Reinstalling, verifying files, updating windows and graphics, nothing changed.

Same here, I keep getting this error message at the end of like 1 out of 3 trials since the TWD update.

I try not to indulge in misery enjoying company, but it is such a relief to know I'm not the only one! Also, if you're trying to share that google drive link so that we can view it, you need to either reformat your link or make it publicly viewable.

Ooops, sorry, I will fix that with my link. But honestly, it was a relief for me too, to know that I am not the only one facing this issue. I have tried absolutely everything and nothing seems to work. Even reported it as a bug and when the support team contacted me, they asked that I do all of these updates to my Windows and drivers on top of reinstalling the game, verifying the files and doing a clean boot. None of it worked, so let me assure you, it's definitely a problem the new chapter created, not our fault. I am surprised not many people have spoken about it, and a bit concerned too. Hopefully they don't ignore this issue due to how few people mention it.

Any update? It's been a week and I can't literally play the game cause it keep crashing at the end of every trial.

Nope, just played dbd after the patch got released and my game still crashes after pressing "Continue" from the endgame screen to move to the main lobby

It's been 2 weeks and Patch 9.1.2 has not rectified this bug which is still drastically inhibiting our ability to play. When can we expect a fix so that we can play the game we pay for?

This is an unacceptable treatment of the players of the game, players who have paid so much money on a game that now we can't even play properly, and gives a bad look to BHVR, even more so at a time where your reputation couldn't be any worse. Not even today's patch has fixed the issue, what exactly must happen for the people responsible to fix the issue?

Please, there is a serious problem here.
It has been more than two weeks and we can no longer play DBD because of this error.
It is incomprehensible that so much time has passed without anything being done, so could you kindly try to urge those responsible to resolve the issue?
