Killer Anxiety and Non-Meta Perks
The last time I played was in March of last year, when I occasionally played Killer. I really enjoyed using Nemesis with the Serotonin Injector add-on and other undetectable perks to catch survivors off guard. My mindset was always to use my 'resources' and skill, and if I managed to get at least one sacrifice, that was enough for me.
But even with this friendly attitude, I've always felt intimidated facing 4 survivors as if they're judging me for how I play or for the perks I choose.
I really want to come back and try Albert Wesker and the Plague again, but how do I overcome the fear of playing Killer? Does this anxiety eventually fade with time?

I cant say I've ever judged any killer perks but endgame builds (noed, blood warden, haywire, remember me, etc), which I usually see on terrible players who refuse to take the Ls they earned. The one thing I'm not judging on either side is NOT using meta perks. As killer, in particular, I'm so tried of seeing the same lithe/sprint burst/finesse combos. I mostly don't run meta perks on either side. They're so boring to me. It's refreshing when I see different and creative builds.
You really should try Wesker with an undetectable build. When his huge terror radius is gone you just pop out at people and it's hella funny. Both as survivor and killer I like to be comical. Don't take things serious. If you do terrible then open the door for the survivors and spin around in circles or do some other goofy thing, even if they were rude with the tainting and emoting. You're gonna lose anyway so why not have fun with it? It really helps flip things around when the tone is bad.

I appreciate your response, and it makes me happy that you can relate to the whole perks issue. I've heard that Wesker is really fun, and an undetectable build on him sounds scary. I'm curious to try that, or even some random ones. From my survivor games, I've gotten addicted to using random perk builds.

You could also spend more time as killer in Chaos Shuffle, if it comes back. There at least you know everyone has random perks.

I might give it a try too!
