Am I blind or does the 2v8 Play While you Wait option not actually exist?
I have pressed literally every button possible, there is no option for me to load into a Survivor game while I wait for Killer
Am I blind? Is the system broken? What is going on?

Im guessing its tied to queue time. They probably dont see a reason to offer it to ppl who are going to get into a match soon rather than ppl who will be waiting.

Thanks for flagging this! The feature is currently active, but will not pop up if your estimated queue time is below a certain threshold. So in your case, the estimated queue time of ~2 minutes is what's causing the feature to not pop up for you. This threshold is something that we're looking into, though.

Yeah I tried restarting the game and there's still no pop up for me. Estimated queue time is 10 minutes... How are we supposed to test a beta feature if it doesn't even work 😭

Been waiting 3-4minutes now in a 7m estimated wait time and still no pop up.
Edit: Still no pop up 5 minutes later.

The estimated queue time is also totally wrong… It says 10 minutes but I be waiting 15 minutes already…

Yea, I qued up @ 11:31 - now 11:44, for a EQA of 7m. This is way off as well.

I get a prompt whenever I try and queue up

it worked for me on my first queue, but once the survivor match was completed it lost connection to the killer match. after that, im not getting it pop up anymore.

first queue was 14 minutes. No popup, no button. Second queue right now is 16 minutes. again no popup. eu, netherlands, on pc, solo queuing

Same. Estimated 24 min queue time which is obviously quite a wait but still but no pop-up. Tried to requeue a few times but no joy. Maybe it doesn't work if you soloq?

Ok, but is 22 minutes not a bit much for NOT having this option?
I'm in killer queue right now (and it says est. queue time is 22 minutes) and the option to "Play while you wait" was nowhere to be found ._.
Or asked differently: What is the threshold for it to not activate? Cannot be 20 minutes and above, no?

On PC/Steam with an 18 minute estimated time I don't see anything:

In a party the same thing with a friend, we wait for 15 minutes, there is no pop-up

Yeah, I'm now watching a streamer that is partied up and it doesn't seem to work for them either. It's a little disappointing but understandable. It's a new feature after all, so there were bound to be issues.
However, I did just reboot my game and I finally got the pop up, so could be worth trying that.

Reboot worked for me too - I'm seeing the fly-out with the play while you wait button now.

Got a 21 minute queue, no pop up
This was so long I was able to run to the shop to buy dinner and still had to sit in queue for 3 minutes before I got a game-2 -
i just restarted my game and now the pop up works. try restarting to see if that works for you.

Yes, the most basic of all solutions helps once again:
"Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
Rebooting the game worked for me as well.

Id like to report for whatever reason after I finish a play while you wait match as Survivor it boots me out of my Killer queue

I might have spoken too soon. Don't think the queues for either side 2V8 are working here in the UK. Could be temporary thing and maybe servers are down? I don't know. The estimated queue time thingy has also disappeared now, too.
Oh well, if they do finally get this to work I think it will be great. I got to play a Survivor game before unfortunately loading into a 2V8 Killer game with a Billy that decided to go AFK. But the actual system in place is really good (when it works).

Yeah, the feature should definitely be kicking in with a queue time of that length - are you still encountering this, or has it since improved. In general, though, we're aware of some issues impacting the feature and are sending player reports to the team to help them investigate this as a priority.

I don't even have the Estemated queue time thing and when i press Play while you wait option it allows me to search for a match as intended just that even after an hour it didn't found anything on either side

There is! When you start looking for a Killer match in 2V8, you'll see your estimated queue time in the bottom right corner of the screen.

It is super buggy and inconsistent. I sat with a 7m queue time for over 25 minutes and never got the option to play survivor while waiting.
Just another thing BHVR didn't get right.
