Ghoul PTB Changes That's it?
Like I'm glad there fixing the Kidnap Tech but why isn't he getting more nerfs?
He's easily the most hated killer in the game due to his free hits, short cooldowns, getting grabs hits threw objects and walls and generally unfun to go against.
Like c'mon devs you can squeeze in an extra nerf or two to him.

Yeah, this is not even close of addresing some of the frustrations survs have with ghoul

The kidnap tech was one of the biggest complaints. Chill.
-6 -
Remember you are never actually hit through a wall by ghoul on the technical level. Visually yes but from what the server sees you were 100% within LOS of the ghoul when they clicked M1.
4 -
Going to get downvotes for this, but what do you want nerf wise for the Ghoul? List issues and solutions to it, just to show that you're serious and can actually point out what makes him worse than Nurse and Blight.
10 -
and therefore we should not change anything else? including the other big complaints? what?
9 -
they need to revert that brown basekit add on !!!!!!! or LESSEN it by like 30%. its currently increasing slide after pounce by 100% isnt it? icr but it just makes him brainlessly spam power and yeet yourself in front of the survivor its so booty hole

The most frustrating part about The Ghoul from survivor side, was his "kidnap tech", by removing that we feel that this will open the door for survivors to have counterplay to the killer, we've already seen this happening amongst survivors even with kidnap tech.
-9 -
I'm fairly certain the "most frustrating" aspect of Ghoul's kit is him being able to jump on you with no meaningful fatigue.
There's a reason people keep comparing him to Legion, Legion has to literally scream & stare at their hands with a reduced M/S before they can M1.
Ghoul can leap on you & M1 before you can make 2 meters of distance.
Kind of odd how this was completely ignored. 🤔
Also, the kidnap tech already had counter play??? You hug the pallet right?
18 -
No, absolutely not. Why are you ignoring all the feedback regarding his free hit/deep wound? As if no one brought it up. Kidnap tech was bad as well & its a step in the right direction but this is not enough and people will still hate him, b/c you haven't done anything about his free hits. Players having no control about being Deep Wounded is one of the most frustrating things about him.
11 -
Legion also have a guaranteed hit and anyone complain about him. This hate on Kaneki is just nonsense.
-10 -
You can stun a Legion out of his frenzy with a pallet, or even a Head-On. He also has to actually chase you and get the hit himself, not just press a button for a free auto-injure from half the map away.
The complaints about Ghoul are entirely justified and this change amounts to little more than a bugfix. It does not solve the broader issue of why people hate him at all.
3 -
I don't think they need to significantly nerf him really, just smooth out the instances where people are getting hit through walls.
You can break LOS, and send him flying far away since he doesn't have full control over his movement. Kind of like how it is with Wesker if he misses his dash.
-2 -
No its really not

I appreciate this; Ghoul may need further adjustments, but it's nice to see how he will fare after this. I was worried we were going to take a heavy handed approach.

I think ghoul also needs the free hit removed. His power as a mobility tool is more than capable enough to get the killer in position to get hits like wraith and blight combined. I would buff the range of the leap back to release value and change the chain marking action to simply not place the survivor in deep wound but still grant the bonus leaps while marked.
1 -
It's not easy to stun him with a pallet, it's more about lucky. And also you canoot stun him with head on since he can literally see you inside the locker with killer instinct…

Respectfully no Mandy what makes Ghoul frustrating for Survivors is his core design the Kidnap Tech was mearly an unintended annoyance that added to his main frustrations.
Ghouls Main Frustrations for Survivors:
Auto Aim Grab attack: Survivors see this as frustrating cause it's basically a free hit a no skill Auto Aim hit scan grab attack that locks Survivors in place and injures and gives you deep wounds
Scamper: if it was to broken for Chucky what made you think it would work for Ghoul? Needless to say since Ghouls always enraged if you drop the pallet Ghoul will scamper and get the hit before you can loop around in time so your screwed either way.
Kagune Leap landing Cooldown: a major frustration for Survivors is his very short cooldown when landing next to survivor. Ghoul leaps, cancels his power and land next to the survivor and M1 and due to his insane mobility and short cooldowns a survivor can't make enough distance in time to reach a pallet or Vault and it feels like there's nothing you can do against him most of the time.
Ghoul is considered the easiest S-tier Killer due to his extremely low Skill ceiling that produces high reward thanks to how he was designed. Stiers like Blight and Nurse at least require a lot more mechanical skill to produce the same reward Ghoul gets.

I listed the issues in a response post here to Mandy but If i were to offer solutions he should just be reworked his design simply gives to much reward for little effort compared to other S tiers like nurse and blight.
But if it were just to be nerfs or simple changes
Ghoul:
Scamper Removed
Grab attack no longer locks Survivor in place during animation
Kagune Leap power cancel increased by 3 seconds

They want to skull merchant him

Could y'all just stop saying stuff so matter of factly when it is clearly up for debate?
"The most frustrating part about The Ghoul from the survivor side was his kidnap tech"
According to who? Cause that isn't a popular sentiment among the community, and you haven't explained why it's his most frustrating aspect, so everyone with some other form of complaint looks at this otherwise perfectly valid statement and thinks "well what about xyz" which is exactly what ended up happening.
Like come on, in light of recent community missteps, could you seriously just not have said "one of the Ghoul's most frustrating aspects" and sidestepped the issue entirely? This kind of reply just fuels a negative community response.

Removing kidnap tech is a good change, but it's nowhere near enough on its own. There are many more issues with this killer, and although kidnap tech was frustrating to go against, I would disagree that it was the #1 most frustrating aspect - at least for me, those would be the extremely short cooldown and free injure capabilities, as well as Centipede + Yamori's Mask addons. I don't really think this nerf by itself is going to change much at all, he's still going to be extremely oppressive.
2 -
is the Ghoul supposed to just stand there while the survivor makes free distance?
-3 -
nobody considers skill when they face nurse/Blight, i guarantee you the skill aspect of the Ghoul is largely irrelevant in comparison to kidnap tech.
-1 -
No he'll do his little blood drinking animation and besides he can catch up his mobility is insane
1 -
how do I taste my food if my portable hamburger is down the road?
-8 -
Just for the record, his ridiculous hit box, zooming across map to return to hook with basically no counterplay are why I hate the killer. THe kidnap tech didn't make the top 5 things about the ghoul that frustrated me
10 -
if both actors are locked in place I don't see what the deal is. what's the point of being a flesh eating Cannibal if you don't munch while on top of somebody?
-5 -
He's easily the most hated killer in the game
That's cool, I guess…?
Killers shouldn't be nerfed based on that tho
-4 -
Are we going to ignore the fact that The Ghoul can "bite" you through walls? There was multiple moments where Ghoul would bite you through walls, to the point where it shouldn't even connected. Possibly a hitbox problem?
Zooming across the map is normal gameplay. He's just faster than Spirit, Blight and Nurse. If you're saying that "zooming" is the issue, then Blight, Spirit and Nurse are also an issue.
-2 -
Auto Aim hitscan free hit, Scamper, very short leap cancel cooldown, Pallet break token recharge does nothing.
Kidnap Tech was really just the icing on the Cake and the main cake part was the actual frustrations Survivors have on ghoul
3 -
I agree. When Hillbilly got his rework and got his overdrive mechanic added he had a very short cooldown and could very quickly hit you with a basic attack after missing the chainsaw and zoning you with it, and even had two add-ons that decreased this cooldown even more. This situation lasted a week before he got his cooldown and add-ons nerfed. Kaneki is still in this situation after months.
I haven't once been affected by the kidnap tech, but every game he just leaps on me and I can't even vault a window two meters in front of me before he basic attacks me. THAT is his most frustrating mechanic.
What the developers yet don't get, and the common denominator of every massively hated killer ever is one thing: cheap downs.
Old Legion had no counterplay and Knight put you in a lose/lose situation with the press of a button and his "sandwich potential" was straight up unfair. Luckily it got nerfed by making guards despawn quicker in close proximity to him, which is an incredible change, and he can still keep multiple survivors busy at once, which makes him very strong but not unfair. Skull Merchant was just as brainless even after her rework, all she had to do is place a drone while keeping you on the loop, it didn't slow her down but instead gave her haste (while trapper and hag had to stop in their tracks and look at their feet) and it would be a guaranteed hit eventually. The speed differential would do the rest and she just had to hold W.
I have seen Ghoul players literally just hold W on me as well. I vault a window? Vault behind me with his power and block it with an add-on or bamboozle. I drop the pallet? They vault it with their power too. Their vault is so fast you can't even gain distance. He is totally fine as he is, just nerf his cooldown and vaulting speed. He will still be just as strong but will actually take skill.

Yeah I was really disappointed when I saw that was the only change, I feel like they aren't watching a lot of casual players opinions on facing the killer. I don't know a single person I play with who likes him.
There is this annoying thing he can do where he can cancel a grab on you to hinder you all the while getting close that feels awful too, similliar to kidnap tech but its like out in the open with no vault involved too.2
