Doubts Patch Anti Tunneling/Anti Slug
Hello Dead by Daylight community i have checked the last patch update and i have some concerns if someone of the developer team would help to clarify the incoming changes doubts
what i think is quite understandable and actually good for dicentivice tunneling is the first load of changes for the killer notifications since for some players that play killer first time having the indications of survivors being unhooked it was the primary incentive to hunt down a survivor to get the massive advantage of knowing where the weakest survivor is, just one doubt if this would be valance for killers that need some degree of slugging since their powers run on a timer Ex: (the Plague, The Oni)
the second part where the survivors are revealed to the killer for "unique hooks" (like base kit BBQ) i have concerns since is truth that some killers that benefit from speed this could be a massive advantage, ¿why didn't instead show to the killer the current generators with the most progres made? since we already have a perk that does that BBQ would be better if the killer had more chance to protect their generators instead of keep hunting survivors?, in mi opinion base kit BBQ is quite complicated mostly for advantages in some killers, perhaps giving the killer more chance to a defensive position instead of more aggressive options would be a better reward and disincentivize casual killers to tunneling survivors and instead of tunneling defend generators that are close to complete
the last part of the survivors buff is where the most concerns i have, in most matches is extremely hard to reach even 5 hooks, ¿why the buff to survivors is at 6? even so what would happen if a survivor just want to leave and does a "go next", ¿does the killer gets punish for a survivor that is given up and just let himself get catched constantly?, even so if the killer gets punish with generators blocked are this supposed to unblock after certain amount of time or they are blocked for the rest of the trial?, ¿what happens if 4 survivors are running the same survivor and the killer cannot distinguish them and for that the killer gets an early elimination on a survivor because they all look the same, ¿is still the killer punish in some possible confusion? ¿if one survivor is constantly attracting the killer attentions by repeated crouching or flashlight spam and the killer just tries to finish the survivor for being a nuisance is still punish for that?, ¿what happens if a survivor knows about this changes and runs a perk or offering of luck and eliminates himself on hook, does the punishment still runs in to something that is totally outside of the control of the killer?

Take from someone who’s obviously never touched high MMR or faced a well-organized team.

recent PTB i've seen killers getting penalize for eliminating a survivor even so not even tunneling on purpose, it only takes one survivor that never gets hook for punish the killer in to a lose scenario

is that a fair punish someone if the hooks are basically almost equally distributed? No it is not, I eventually win 3 escape the game because the killer couldn't stop the gen progresion anymore even without tunneling

Yeah I feel like 6 hooks it too much and just creates too many situations where you feel like your forced to track down specific rats or avoid displaying 2 hooks not to punish yourself. Making the early game even harder with arbitrary punishments you can accidently find yourself in if you miscount or track things wrong. Not even to talk about teams that openly try to bait the kill.

Now it is too easy to bait the kill in to a punish scenario in to a totally normal game and that really sucks even more than being tunneled because even if you know you're being tunneled you can get the most of it since your teammates have a long time to do gens even if you get tunneled out
behavior already made tunneling much harder with the new effects and that was good enough, the punishment really was an overkill from part of the devs on this one
also slug changes are good on point to avoid being left too much on the ground and don't punishing killers that need some degree of slug from his mechanics (ex oni, plague)
