Why developers listen to bullies to balance whole game?
Let me understand one thing:
SURVIVORS:
- Medkits? Nerfed.
- Healing? Nerfed.
- Rare item add-ons? Nerfed.
- Toolboxes? Nerfed.
- Generator repair time? Nerfed.
- Flashlights? Nerfed.
- Keys and Maps? Useless. Phew, thankfully they don't need to be nerfed! (Although the default map was supposed to create a point and show the killer's aura around it, so they nerfed it before it even needed to be nerfed)
- Possibilities for a different playstyle than tag? ANNIHILATED! (When I started the game, survivors had a choice: run or hide. That's why I liked DBD in the first place. Today, that choice is gone. It was completely removed because "killers were too bored," because you can't even ask them to open their eyes and look for prey during the game; they have to have everything handed to them on a silver platter)
- Almost every "overused" perk? Nerfed (and we have to ignore the fact that about 80% of survivor perks are completely useless, and this is coming from someone who never uses the so-called "meta," because I find it boring.)
- Smoke bomb? Nerfed. (...after a week! It's currently the most useless item in the game, and as far as I'm concerned, they can remove it. They added it, so I get fewer health packs. Seriously, WHY IS THIS STILL IN THE GAME?)
EVERYTHING survivors could do in game has been nerfed.
And in all of this, we get nothing in return? Nothing. One big, universal NOTHING.
One new item we got in five years, which added a bit of fun, was immediately nerfed to the point of complete uselessness.
We're not asking for much right now – because we're asking for a little protection against the toxic behavior that's constantly present in at least every other game.
KILLER'S GOAL IS 12 HOOKS IN THE GAME.
Why do we have a problem in the first place? Because killers constantly break this rule.
If you ask them? Oh! Everyone, even the 'honest' streamers Otz and Tofu, swear how polite they are and how they don't like playing like that and give survivors a chance, ALWAYS GIVE A CHANCE!, and don't tunnel and don't slug... And everyone cried like babies that these changes couldn't be implemented. Forum was drowning in complaints because a survivor lying idle on the ground for 90 seconds (lol) could have gotten up on his own.
Everyone was crying because they have to play by the rules and do the only job they have to do.
12 hooks? WHAT?! That's way too much work to win! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! TOO MUCH!
Of course, everyone tries to have 12 hooks, and no one is slugging or tunneling... But no, these rules are wrong. Too limiting. You can't win with them, even though no one is doing it, of course.
This is a travesty.
It's a joke when killers write that game is somehow tilted towards the survivors lol. You'd have to be blind to say that or a very bad player.
Ps. And at this point, I'd like to point out that the main cause is SWF. I don't know why the ability to create teams is still in the game—for how many? 10% of players? We all suffering because of them? As far as I'm concerned, team creation outside of custom games should be removed immediately.
This game was never designed for it, and never will be designed for team play, and that's why it only causes problems. Some of these nerfs are from SWF, like healing. And I understand that perfectly.
They should remove SWF too; it would make the game much healthier and better balanced, because it's a paradox – YOU CAN'T BALANCE THIS GAME FOR SWF AND SOLO AT THE SAME TIME.
I don't know why they're even trying...

In 2021 the devs stated in a Dec Update that about half of the survivors play with the SWF Feature in 2 or 3 man teams and about 5% play in a full 4 team swf. Assuming these numbers haven't changed that much in the last 4 years, it would explain the balancing difficulties BHV faces. Make solo queue bearable while not absolutely making it abusable as hell for SWF.
Also surviving with friends is one of the biggest appeals dbd has. 0 chance that it will ever be removed

It wouldn't be hard to implement a system that checks if a lobby is solo queue or not. It would be easy enough to buff solo queue while not buffing swf.

What Swf has that SoloQ don't is information and communication. You can "buff" how much info SoloQ without a problem.
One very good step was the actions hud. Its helps SoloQ, its good and its not abusable by Swfs. They devs could add more things like that and it wouldn't negatively affect game balancing. Making perks like Kindred, Empathy and Bond basekit would help a lot SoloQ without giving SWF what they already have.
Also, you should have a lower MMR when playing Solo than if you are with friends. These kind of changes would make games much better, I don't know why they don't do that.

The issue is a lot of swf are not even communicating. I just add friends when I play the game and join people who I think are good. We don't know or talk to each other but are still in a swf. It's one of the few things you can do to help add a good player join them when their on now you how less potatoes on your team? Why should the killer get buffs or survivors nerfs for this?
