Nintendo Switch 2 version

Good afternoon,

Is the team at BHVR working on a Nintendo Switch 2 version of DBD. The console is powerful enough to handle a better version of the game, and it desperately needs it. I can't handle 15 fps and 720 much longer.

Thank you

they probably think it’s not worth it because the player base on switch is not big enough. But of course it’s not the switch version runs like crap and still keeps crashing LOL

With a proper version on switch 2, more players will jump on board. Missed opportunity

There a big base of Nintendo fans that play DBD. Yet was left screwed without any cross progression save unlike other platforms said above.

Meaning everything you brought is useless and doesn’t transfer unless we get an Switch 2 Upgrade of DBD.

Nintendo Switch 2 should get an optimised version of DBD and a better graphical update as well.

And it would sell well and bring more people in for sure.

Behaviour give us loyal Nintendo DBD fans,

A graphic and optimised version of DBD for the Nintendo Switch 2 via a new Cartridge , Game Keycard or Paid Upgrade.

So all our purchases actually crossover as well.

Don’t screw your loyal fans again.

I don’t mind that. As long DBD gets the love it deserves for Switch 2

A update from the Behaviour Team would be nice about this,

At the very least let us know you’re working on it

or that you have received dev kits for the Nintendo Switch 2 now !?

And that Behaviour are working on a Nintendo Switch 2 version of DBD,

An Upgrade path, Game Key Card or Full Game Card for Nintendo Switch Version.

I would and so would many others would be happy buying any of these options above,

For a more optimised and graphical fidelity improvements as we Nintendo fans deserve for DBD.

    Thank you.

We deserve an official update from Behaviour, The Nintendo Switch 2 Dev kits have been out there for 3 months now.

Even if it’s been worked on in the early stages.

Some promise to fans would be welcomed for an DBD update or Game Kart for a optimised/ Graphical Fidelity overhaul version of DBD for Switch 2.

I too am hoping for some kind of update for the Switch 2 as well. This is just the most recent one I found from two months ago.

I’m aware but she’s is unreliable source and is no lead developer nor head of Behaviour.

Yes I couldn’t agree more, Nintendo fan base deserves an optimised performance and graphical overhaul for DBD.

We need an Nintendo Switch 2 version of DBD,

Every other platform has that option so why doesn’t the Switch 2 ?

    (It’s unfair)

This would definitely gain more new fans to DBD with an Nintendo Switch 2 version is vastly needed/wanted.

Even if it’s new Switch 2 Game Cartridge, Game Key Cartridge or Upgrade path from the original switch owners of DBD

We Nintendo fans deserve a mass optimisation version graphically and performance increase on FPS on Nintendo Switch 2.

Dev kits have now been out for an awhile now,

All we want is confirmation that it’s confirmed,

Or to be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 or currently being developed for NS2?

We Nintendo DBD fans deserve this at least !

I'm sorry but nothing has changed, there are no current plans for a Switch 2 update.

I wanted to pop in here and add a comment to how much this is needed. Literally the only thing stopping me from playing this on my switch 2 is that it needs a switch 2 patch.

How about this announce one year from now the Switch 1 ( a poor hardware spec to begin with) is being phased out and Switch 2 will have the same graphics as other systems?

    Hello Mandy.

As yourself being a dev and community manager, After 3 months I thought you would have some insight and logic for us.

Yet you sat around for 3 months and not explained what the Nintendo DBD community wants for DBD to anyone else it seems,

Witch being a much needed Nintendo Switch 2 version for DBD (Being a Performance & Graphical optimisation/overhaul). Yet it seems you didn’t talk with any other top Behaviour team members. At any meetings it seems for 3 months nothing has been done.

(Nintendo Switch 2 Dev Kits are very much out there so don’t make excuses for that)

Explain to me and all of the DBD Nintendo fan base how’s this is fair exactly?
Nintendo systems never got a proper cross save like every other platform did. You majorly failed us out of that, So we would lose all our dlc chapters and cosmetics for nothing if we switched systems.

Yet every other platform hasn’t, Only being that Nintendo Switch that got the short end of the stick,

Even being the PS4 has a PS5 version etc has got a upgraded optimised version of DBD,

Xbox as well, Even stream with PC/Stream deck. Why does your DBD loyal Nintendo fans doesn’t get the same treatment?

Every other platform has this for DBD yet Nintendo Switch 2 doesn’t?

You were lazy and messed us out of a proper cross save on DBD on the Nintendo Switch system.

So at the very least you could give us an huge Graphical/Performance optimised version of DBD for the Nintendo Switch 2.

It’s very needed and wanted period, It would make many fans happy and bring more new players from Nintendo to DBD, That is if we had an Nintendo Switch 2 version.

Yet you are a community manager and a Dev yet you choose to ignore your loyal Nintendo fans for 3 months !

And not let our voices to be heard to anyone at the top of Behaviour. Explain this? And I hope this changes very soon!

The worse thing is actions speak louder than words, Now you are kicking us Nintendo players in the gut further. By choosing to release any New chapter from now on 2 days after any other systems.
Furthermore now any normal Bugfix/hotfix any other platform gets.

The Nintendo Switch version of DBD shall get left out and won’t even be able to use cross-play untill an mega Bugfix hits the Switch version of DBD, each time an Bugfix update lands for all other platforms.
Meanwhile every other platform shall be able to play with each other using cross-play during any small Bugfix. So the Switch 1 players won’t even be able to use cross-play for longevity extended amounts of time.

(The Proof is in the screenshot I’ve provided below, From being in game on Nintendo Switch 1)

I mean what, How is this fair !?

Just seems Behaviour is turning its back on loyal DBD Nintendo fans.

Where’s the care in this action to your Nintendo fans hrm, Nope none. And the best thing is you have the gual to blame Nintendo for it just like the cross save issue of the past.

Get a grip Behaviour and stop alienating your loyal Nintendo Fan Base.

I been playing since the release of DBD on the Original Switch and this is completely unacceptable towards your Nintendo fan base.

Stop alienating us any further this needs to be addressed.

Give us an Nintendo Switch 2 version of DBD please.

    Thank you.

I heard that Nintendo is making it very hard for people to get the dev kits I wouldn't be surprised that is the main reason they aren't.

Nintendo really isn’t making it hard. Square Enix, Capcom, Konami, EA, Gearbox, Bandai Namco, Sega, Atlus, Bloober Team, and loads more as well tons of other smaller studios have Switch 2 dev kits already.

Please stop giving Behaviour excuses, Read what Mandy said and the recent screenshot I provided. Behaviour is pretty much abandoning DBD Nintendo players for no good reason.

Nintendo Switch 2 Dev Kits are vastly available.

They are big studios and most of them are from Japan which I have read online they are getting top priority. I read a 3 week old Reddit post that devs at Gamescon said it was hard for them to get one and were told to use the Switch 1 to make their games. Do some research and don't talk like you know everything I'm not making excuses I'm basing this on what I have read and researched which you sound like haven't done much.

Clearly focused on defending Behaviour, There a big list on what companies have Nintendo Switch 2 dev kits big and small developers (Western/Euro/Asian Devs have them) I wasn’t gonna type them all. It’s a fact they’re out there !

Some thread on Reddit isn’t very relevant nor reliable information dude.

Read all of what I have said on this thread,

Behaviour is purposely abandoning there Nintendo fanbase of DBD !

So stop sugar coating there defence? I never said I knew everything nor am I.

I am just giving facts that’s all, The cope on defending Behaviour here is something,

As long these issues that Behaviour are pushing on there loyal Nintendo players of DBD, Doesn’t affect the platform you play and others won’t be affected by this.

Only Nintendo players will be unfairly affected, Refer to my previous comments here with the screenshot.

it would be nice to have an proper response from the reply I’ve directed at you Mandy please.

And if possible some insight, If you have passed on the communities voice, About a much needed/wanted Nintendo Switch 2 version of DBD to the Top of Behaviour.

A clear update would be appreciated about all of the concerns facing DBD future on Switch 2. And now basically abandonment by Behaviour of DBD on Switch 1 with the recent dev message in game.

    Have a lovely afternoon
    Thank you.

Hi i feel like joining this discussion and let me ask one simple question, How hard would it be to take the ps4 version, and port it to the switch 2? the ps4 version should run pretty well on the switch 2 i mean the switch 2 can handle Cyberpunk and SF6! it should be able to handle the ps4 version of dbd!

I can imagine the differences in the dlc and store content would prevent this idea. Not all dlc's are paid/free the same across platforms, and purchases are locked down heavily by Nintendo. It's why DBD Cross Progression just for the Switch lacked several parts moving between platforms.

I don't think it's about the difficulty of making a port, but rather about publishing certifications and the cost-benefit analysis of giving a small platform fan-base (Switch 2 DBD players) what they want against the slim chance of converting the expanding Switch 2 fan-base into customers.

To be clear, I do believe Nintendo will thrive, the problem is Behaviour might not have the resources and infrastructure-gambling power a gigantic developer/publisher like Epic has when updating their Fortnite clients across multiple platforms (which is why I believe bhvr doesn't mind delaying Switch updates). Unreal Engine has platform scalability as a design pillar, and I suspect Epic's day-1 Fortnite on Switch 2 launch has something to do with being the developers of the Engine, rather than only of the game.

There might be a day when bhvr pretty much -has- to release a Switch 2 version, but seeing as devkits have been rumored to be slowly reaching developer's hands, this might be a lower-than-low priority at the moment. I'm by no means an experienced DBD player, but I think these last couple of years have been though on the growth of the game (not from a player-count pov, but from a design and development pov).

Nintendo's certification probably requires independent testing on Switch 1 and Switch 2 clients, so they're probably targeting fixes and pushing for that big QoL roadmap along with the 10 year anniversary before even considering diluting resources toward maintaining yet another client. (I wouldn't personally mind a PS4-to-Switch-2 copy and paste right now, but I understand it might not be as easy)
