SaveFiles Question

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding game savefiles.
I'm visiting family overseas and I'm taking my laptop with me and I'd like to play DBD while I'm there.
The question is: Do I have to move the save files/characters from my PC to the laptop or there's some sort of cloud server now? Last time I lost progress I'd been told the savefiles are stored where the game is installed, but idk if that changed with the last updates.
I'd apreciate the help!

There's cloud server now. I just changed my hdd to an ssd and my saves were there when i i reinstall everything. You should be fine ^^1
