Quality of life suggestion: Match History screen helpful for all players, from new to veteran
We all know by now tutorials are useless for learnin complex, intricate gameplay. Not to mention that new stuff gets added to dbd every three months, which means upgrading a tutorial is extra, unnecessary work.
So what if we get a screen during trials (right next to match details) that displays quick information of what’s happenin, like: why did I scream, why the generator got blocked, what exactly triggered endurance on a survivor?
Consider how impactful a Match History screen could be whether to keep track of sus player activity or to learn about a new player effect…
That being said, here’s a quick design description:

Edit 1: I’ve found this picture on Reddit, which is not exactly what I mean, but the design is very close to it. Note that I want the match to become self-explanatory as it progresses…
Scenario 1: Lets say the killer is kinda speedy, well then you can access the History screen and see in real time that an add-on, perk, or whatever is applying a % of haste currently.
Scenario 2: a survivor blocks a gen with Cheryls perk. It will appear over the survivor icons the gen block icon followed by the perk icon as long as the effect lasts.
Scenario 3: theres multiple effects triggered at once, then all of them will appear on the screen while they’re at play.
Everyone can hover over all the effects (by accessing Match History screen) and understand what’s happening in real time. You can learn everything about the game as the match progresses.

Further explanation of real time content:
- status icon - status effect, player effect, perk effect followed by which perk caused it, etc… Hovering over will show a resumed text as it does with perks.
- match time: instead of repeating the same status icon over and over, indicate every time that effect gets triggered. Ex: broken effect icon; 0:57, 1:41, 5:32.
- Hovering over the killer icon slot reveals a resumed text about their power.
That’s it, thank you for listening.

Thank you, but yeah… that’s not what I meant on this post. The real problem over here is that my duo is a newer player and I am forced to explain every now and then what’s happening on their screen. Sometimes I’m not even sure of what they are trying to say lol

I would love to have a "History" option on the main menu, which would effectively show the end-game screen for the past N matches. (3? 5? 10?)
If I'm the first person tunneled out, I would like to go back and see if my teammates managed to escape, but I don't want to have to sit in Spectator mode the whole time, waiting.
Plus, you know, the stuff you said about perks

That’d be good too.
Like I said in the post, I want the game to become self-explanatory as the trial progresses. There’s a ######### ton of debuffs a killer can apply nowadays and we can’t keep track on all of them.
It’s also painful when a survivor seems speedy or when all of the sudden they trigger endurance and you don’t really understand why….
A match history tab would be very useful for those scenarios. Reminder: it’s only available during a trial.
