Why defend something, if you honestly think it's only good against "bad survivors"? That would mean the addon is only useful as a bullying tool when the survivors are much weaker than the killer.

And a hand visual doesn't count as counterplay. Proper counterplay would mean the survivor has some way to reset the alternate kill condition, like completing a Sadako tape, or taking off a Pig trap.

I don't really like the idea of giving Myers haste for map traversal. I feel like there could be better ways for him to slow the match down, that would feel less similar to other killers. Something like a terror system. Where survivors get progressively more frightened, the longer they go without seeing him. Giving them various debuffs, and causing them to scream when they next see him.

He deserves to have something that's unique to him.

It's not one of the more immediately intuitive terms, haha, it took me a while to figure it out too.

Honestly they can take till next year if this means the game will be functioning properly again,or better than it has been since the walking dead chapter. I'm optimistic they'll do good hopefully

So what you’re saying is you’re not going to fix your game and it’s going to be the same song and dance right? 🤣🤣🤡

This. I'm not coming back to the game until I know how pointless one of the roles is. Right now survivors are free wins even in solo Q and if they give even more power through this the games just done for. This for the survivor mains who don't understand is like taking away body blocking and exhaustion perks/hits. People don't realize killer already had Gen regression gutted but survivors gen speed buffed, aura reading and franklins gutted and now the only pressure a killer can get is by slugging or tunneling. They are how you play the game.

    @ThatRyanB

Does it mean we will get nurse, blight, kaneki nerfs?

We have been vocal about those killers for years now.

We need action than words, tbh it is starting to get like TCM… It's gonna have that many bugs all at once where the game isn't enjoyable anymore, 2V8 mode has been the worse this round so far, long lobby wait times and server rubberbanding and it is not our internet connect when other online platform games work fine,

Maybe a strike against the game might help them realise the damage. 1 week of less player base across all platforms.

We do need a huge fix!!!

I have a strong feeling that Survivors who want to get into the lobby with Killer will soon be on the waitlist, even in 4v1. I'm a main Survivor player and with all these nerfs, especially to Killers in every unique game, there won't be any more.

I’m looking forward to the bug fixes for killer more than anything. I love that in their patches now every update comes with killers being updated and perks being updated. That’s how it should be. ☺️

This is much needed. Fixing the game. One patch at a time.

Ghoul if the kidnap tech fix will work is ok, blight is too much 115% with 10 seconds for 5 rushes and no token loss after palett breake or etc. is just funny but he has high skill ceiling still those insabe flicks cant be done without supper high cracked dpi on mause and nurse what will you nerf lunge, teleport distance or charge time of the blink either way she will get much more harder and her kills will drop in lower mmr which makes her more immune to nerfs so best way for her is rework same as trapper he got most buffs from all killers no one got that much of perks into his basekit as trapper and still he is in top 2 worst killers in the game with merchant now, he was s-tier when he was only playable killer and problem is his power its influenced by so many things like how dark and big is the map, how much of the thick grass in on the map and other rng factors his power is like if you played csgo and your only weapon was revolver with one bullet in chanber so each shot is 1/6 of a chance you will get from your shots and thats not reliable so for him and even nurse rework is the only best option thats there.

Playing killer has been extremely un-fun for ages now. I dont believe BHVR has the ability to change this, since the game has been miserable for years. Currently DBD is uninstalled and hidden in my steam inventory. Good luck BHVR trying to change that.

I just want the new update reversed, I've uninstalled the game and I really just want my money back. I've spent so much on killers recently and now this new update seems to hate killers. It's clear they don't want us here and they're getting what they want.

Sure — here's a shorter, sharper version of your summary, with the user intent (info on QoL updates) kept clear and precise:

Dead by Daylight: QoL Initiative 2025 – Updated Roadmap Summary

    What’s Happening

    • Behaviour Interactive is delaying content drops to focus on major Quality of Life (QoL) improvements across 2025.
    • Roadmap split into two phases targeting gameplay, balance, and user experience.

    Phase 1 (Apr–Jun 2025) – Live/Coming Soon

    • Surrender option: available under specific conditions for both survivors and killers.
    • Gamma slider, spawn rework, better AFK/bot detection.
    • "Go-Next" penalties, map offering balance, anti-hiding/body-blocking fixes.
    • UI upgrades: bulk BP spending, perk presets, quest system.

    Phase 2 (Jul–Dec 2025) – In Progress

    • Anti-slugging, anti-tunneling, anti-camping mechanics.
    • Map & item rebalancing, matchmaking tweaks, K&M on consoles, custom game tools.
    • Accessibility upgrades, better prestige rewards, smoother login.

Focus is shifting from new content to game health and fairness—addressing long-standing player frustrations on both sides (killer & survivor).

We really need to get the anti-tunnel and anti-slug mechanics prioritized. I don't buy into the whole "it's too oppressive to killers". It's just rewarding killer for gameplay that is easy to abuse, lacking skill, and above all, simply creates a frustrating and negative experience for survivors. If a killer resorts to tunneling, then yeah, it should be oppressive. Realistically I can only speak for myself and my friends that play and say that we do not play survivor any more unless there is 2v8, since we see far less of this behaviour in the games. With regular (1v4), it is without any exaggeration to say that at least two thirds of our games are killers tunneling, slugging, and/or proxying hooks. It's simply no longer fun to play survivor at all in regular game modes. I will login, get my daily as a killer from time to time and wait for 2v8. Other than this, this game is no longer enjoyable for my friends and I.

I understand the need to tweak some of the specifics with killers. I do completely agree with various other comments made across other social media channels that some of these changes would make high-tier killers even stronger. As such, I would be in total favour of reducing some of the specifics with lower-tiered killers. I, for one, would love to see more of the older, often lower-tiered killers to make a return to the game. We rarely see them anymore since a lot of the newer killers have made older ones almost obsolete due to a lot of newer ones having somewhat recycled mechanics (and then some), but that's a different subject altogether.

So yes, please prioritize these anti-tunnel/slug mechanics and have them added soon.

Oh look. All these changes are either meaningless, or cater to survivors.

Last I tried it, the game is currently completely un-fun experience for killers. I see nothing that would create an iota of balance here.

You want to get rid of slugging? Perhaps make it so its actually possible to pick up survivors without being blinded 100% of the time. You want to get rid of tunneling? Perhaps make maps of such size that going after other survivors serves an actual purpose. You want to get rid of camping? Perhaps slow down generator progression so that camping isn't the only way to have a chance of a single kill.

All these are problems that BHVR created themselves by having a ######### game. Improve the goddamn base mechanics of the game, not just tweak numbers.

No they are being punished for not hooking survivors which if you read in the tutorial is the killers main priority. Not injure, injure, injure injure then slug slug slug slug oops game over 8 hook states bypassed.

  • dgbug
    dgbug Member Posts: 187

The changes did actively punish killers for playing the game. I'm not saying slugging should be as viable as it currently is, but the anti-slug and tunnel changes felt EXTREMELY bad to play as Killer.

Hoping you finally fix the Hag issues. When even the best Hag player (Michi for the new players) only plays her twice a week and only for content, you know it's past time she's fixed.

Since you make it so easy for survivors to leave so the killer finds himself with four bots, would you make a "insta-win" button so the killer can take his win and move on? Or do you plan to force killers to play against bots when they've basically won?

  • BOFH
    BOFH Member Posts: 42

I won't consider the cheating issue fixed until they release a statement saying "Oops, turns out we had an exposed admin panel and associated API letting cheaters do all kinds of crazy stuff. We shut all of that down, let us know if you see anything weird in the future."

There's absolutely no way cheaters are capable of doing even a tiny fraction of what they are without an exposed API endpoint with leaked credentials at the very least.

Apparently yes but it is a draw.

So you are forced to play against the bots to get your win.

  • CrypticGirl
    CrypticGirl Member Posts: 1,373

Would it really be fun to get your win in that scenario? I'd say take the draw and try again next time.

This quality of life isn't it…, its gone even worse, now no stop bugs, instead of trying to compete with indie devs around the work, please focus on the game that needs the help and board of behaviour needs to rethink their needs and wants, can't have this $$$$$ without play base who are sick and tired of the consident let down, its like Overwatch, that game was revamped because they listened to the community but didn't action upon the loud comments of issues that the community has been saying since 2016.Iin the past it took skilled players to match with a board member to proof that flash lights were too powerful and overstimulating to a point that there wasn't any point of playing the game, in which then flash lights were changed. Please do better board of Behaviour, I know we point the blame to the devs but the blame is actually those who are top job positions that give directions to their direct reports, need to blame more of them instead of devs that try their best at their job especially when it is an online 24/7 gameplay game, board of behaviour please take responsibility of these issues within the game. Collabs can't save a game.

He kinda lost both his stealth with bigger terror radiuses in tier 2 and 3, he is less lethal with slaughtering strike and its way more weaker that tier two 99 to get old tier 3 for fast insatdown same as ghostface.

Bring back old Michael Myers Mouri, also the collision of Haddonfield is kinda screwed up, just slide off everything with Blight.

The killer objective is to stop the survivors by any means in their power.

  • Milkymalk
    Milkymalk Member Posts: 264

To clarify that, it's easier to first look at what the survivors' objective is: To finish gens, open the gates and escape.

The killer's objective is to prevent that. If that means slugging is necessary, it's necessary.

    However, it usually is not.
