Do The Devs just hate Myers?
Myers got so many nerfs This patch it’s not even funny. They are treating him like an S tier killer when clearly he isn’t and instead buffed the actual S tier who everyone already agreed on the PTB was already strong. just so I can clarify here is every single nerf that Myers got post rework.
- Went from a 4.4 m/s killer to 4.2 in Stalker mode
- Stalk range reduced from 40 m to 32m
- Animation added when transitioning from pursuer to evil incarnate removing any ambush potential
- Increase the terror radius from 16m to 24 m
- Removed the exposed status from evil incarnate (unless you use fragrant tuft of hair)
- Evil incarnate duration reduced from 60 to 40 seconds
- Having a 6 second cool down on slaughtering strike
- depletes the stalk meter to 50% if Myers has not Stalked anyone in the last 20 seconds
- Reduce the duration on slaughtering strike
- Reduce the bonus duration of slaughtering strike
- increased to the rarity of vanity mirror to visceral
- Removed the bonus stalk you get from stalking further away
- Stalking while moving has a penalty
- Added a slowdown when transitioning from pursuer to evil incarnate mode
- Re-introduced the music when Myers has a certain amount of stalk
- increased the terror radius in evil incarnate mode from 32m to 40m
- on the PTB Myers’s Vaulting speed when in pursuer mode was reduced to 10% was 20%
you guys somehow made one of the worst killers in the game even worse and people don’t even like slaughtering strike just because of how bad and boring it is to use and it’s just not thematic for him at all. Please remove slaughtering strike, buff him, and just make him feel like Myers.

i don't think they hate myers at all . He actually got some really nice QOL changes last year. This rework however missed the mark in some ways . I do hope they walk back some of his nerfs and changes overall. The fact 4 of his current add ons used to be basekit is pretty crazy. I guess they wanted to play it safe at first and see where they could tweak things.

Wanting slaughtering strike removed entirely is just a skill issue, why are we so afraid of a previously mind numbing killer finally having some depth? Also listing "Added a six second cool down to slaughtering strike" as a nerf when slaughtering strike didn't even exist before, come on now

i’m a be honest I didn’t think ghoul was too much of a problem when he was the first released and this is from my survivor experiences but holy moly what were they cooking with the Krasue

Yeah its ironic isn't it. That bundle of tweaks they gave him last year made him stronger than his overall rework did.
When you're making changes to Mikey, nerfs should never even be in the discussion (unless its tombstone). Like my gosh how do you give Kaneki one nerf but you dump several on Michael.

The rework looks and feels incredibly clunky. I'm not really sure what their exact plan was for his gameplay style, but this seems very incoherent and not even close to addressing the problems with his kit. They should revert him back and try again

I’d be fine with them keeping the Mode switching but removing slaughtering strike for now until they can find a better solution that all Myers mains and enjoyers can’t appreciate. (and hopefully it’ll be a rework that dose not compromise his identity over gameplay.)

he was very strong on release no doubt but this is one of the biggest problems of the game, its really ironic we get killers like ghoul who can injure and zoom around the map like its nothing and Krause who can do literally everything without consequence but then its absolutely necessary that Ghostface has his stealth removed by hooked survivors

feels less like ghoul and more like pre nerf Chucky if I’m being honest because it’s either you can get hit or get hit you can get hit

Or just an incremental haste effect when he's not in chase/is Undetectable. Buffing his mobility when not in chase always was the perfect buff for him but instead they go for a thematically-unfit clunky Chucky's dash attack variant.

Kit wise I think Myers is in a pretty good spot, most of his problems really are just the slaughtering strike and how awkward it is to use. Just make it a bit smoother and adjust some of the addons to make them more attractive and I think he'll be in a pretty great spot.

Yeah fr. They gave Myers a Swiss army knife of changes where he mostly got the short end of the stick, and then in the same breath gave Krasue like 8 big buffs after general consensus was that that she was janky but still extremely viable.
Just feels out of touch.

well kaneki has received 18 nerfs total since his release . He did need them but the one you mentioned was just the most recent one.
