Can we bring back PTB themes for some killers?
I really don't have enough context or understanding to know why some of these themes were replaced given how good they were. If there were any possible way to return them to the game, I would please adore it.
At least certain sections of older themes like Demogorgon's 8ms and Xenomorph's 32m-8m I would REALLY want implemented into their live themes somehow, since most people didn't like the chase themes.

Often in the PTB we only use placeholders, so it's not the final versions…which is why it changes to Live.

Even the Pyramid head one from his PTB? It was way better than current one we have

The current one fits PH better though, as it has more of a Silent Hill 2 vibe to it. Compared to the ptb one, which had more of a Silent Hill 1 vibe to it.

Maybe that's why I like it, It was way creepier and less rock and roll

It's the opposite for me, ptb feels more like something one would vibe out to, while live feels scarier and more chaotic, just like Silent Hill 2's ost is with its use of industrial tools for instruments.

I'm still salty about this one because while yes, the live chase music is neat and all, the transitions in the PTB were way smoother, to the point where I feel like someone just decided to splice 2 different versions that Michel gave them together because they thought it sounded good (it doesn't).

Not dissing anyone's opinion since I like some PTB arrangements more than live (PH's is fire), but certain arrangements like Xenomorph's were initially lambasted by the community at large and compared to a washing machine.
I have no issue with a toggle for PTB arrangements though, sounds like a good way to give everyone what they want.

Absolutely + the current one is way too spicy for Silent Hill

yeah, most of them were bad, but what's disappointing is that the actual release version sounds nothing like the placeholder theme.
xeno's chase theme had a really good idea and vibe behind it but what we ended up with feels way more bland and generic

it really sounded silent hill 1 esk but too fast would’ve been perfect if slowed down a tad bit

I mean I'd be more than happy to pay for Xeno's PTB theme. I actually like it a whole lot.

I think it would need the chase part to be reworked a bit to be not as repetitive, but otherwise i'd love to pay for it too

i am sorry but this sounds a bit strange regarding certein killers like xeno and oni. Onis made it to live but then changed a year later bc i assume it was a bit loud. Xeno too, it was too cool to be a placeholder and the siren like sounds resembled the actual nostromo sirens which sounds intentional that the devs intended it to be like that

Pyramid Head's PTB theme was goated.
And it fits perfectly with the rest of the layers.1 -
The PTB Alien theme was really well done and only the chase needed a couple adjustments, it takes a while to make these arrangements and it sucks to see them thrown away.

It's not from PTB, but I'd like to bring back the old chase music from The skull merchant. It was just more frenetic than the current one... 😔

But what of cases like Houndmaster's? Her live music is barely audible and just feels like the PTB version with a ton of instruments taken out. For placeholders some of these were INSANELY better than their live counterparts.
Is there any hope of some of these PTB themes returning in the future?
