I'm sorry to hate but this Rift is so disappointing.

  • The Free track is practically empty. Entire pages of BPs with only one cosmetic piece is insultingly bad. I understand you want to incentivise people to pay for the Premium track (they're are a business, I get it) but stripping back the Free track this much is too far.
  • The cosmetics they have in the Rift look really nice — I like the theme — but the characters chosen to receive them are the SAME ones time and time again. Seriously, it's absurd how many Rift cosmetics go to Spirit. I get she's popular but can we give other characters some time to shine. The Survivor side isn't much better. Ace, Yun-Jin, Vittorio, and Adam have already had Rift cosmetics (some of them multiple). The theme of this Rift would've been PERFECT for Taurie, for example. They really couldn't have squeezed her in? Or another Survivor who is yet to receive a Rift like Orela?
  • The Deep Rift recolours of the outfits are really boring this time around. We finally get rid of the ugly Deep Rift blue with the past few Rifts and now it's back again for half of the Deep Rift outfits. And then the second colour scheme is just white. Also the first and second Deep Rift colours for Spirit are barely different. I actually thought they'd accidentally put the same cosmetic in twice when I first flicked through the pages:

  • The Dredge skin looks great but its unusable because of how tall it is and his weapon taking up the whole screen.

  • That is seriously unacceptable. If you want to keep making big weapons, there needs to be a toggle to make them transparent or something for the Killer because this is not at all functional (credit to r/madpacifist for the image)
  • The miscellaneous stuff (the non-community Charms, Badges, and Banners I mean) are not great. I don't know what the stained-glass Badges are supposed to be. I don't know, maybe people like these and it's just not my thing, but I'm confused: image.png
  • And the Charms just feel so recycled at this point. I understand crows are a motif in DbD but can we please be done with the crow charms now? This looks no different than the other fifty crow charms we already have. I understand people like these, but there's already so many that they couldn't possibly even display them all at once anyways. Can we please have something new? A pigeon? A chicken? I'd literally take any other bird at this point.

Sorry to be so negative, but the Trailer for this Rift was so cool but the actual in-game Rift just did not live up to it.

    Battle-passes are designed as a player retention mechanic, which is why you get your money back if you finish them. They are a game's bid to the player to say "Hey! Play our game a lot instead of another game! You'll get good stuff if you focus our game!".

    BVHR needed player retention right now more than ever after all that has happened the past couple months. And this is what they put out? They think players who were thinking about leaving are going to stick around to finish this rift? This one that has significantly less value than all other rifts in the past year? They really should be embarrassed.
