The pallet density change hurts EVERYONE.

I seem to be seeing a lot of downvotes on posts complaining about the pallet density changes, so I wanted to clarify why this change is bad for both killer AND survivor (I assume survivor players are the vast majority of the downvotes), as well as explaining why this change does not make survivor "easier" like some people seem to believe.

It's pretty simple:

Which killers are forced to engage the most with pallets? Weaker killers.

Which killers are allowed to ignore pallets? Stronger killers.

Listen, sweaty killers are going to pick the meta killers and sweaty survivors are going to pick resi, windows, and dead hard no matter what; that's an unfortunate part of any competitive game and there's nothing that can be done beyond meta shake-ups and reworks. But why are people celebrating there being even less incentive to play weaker killers? It's like when OTR got nerfed into oblivion and killers somehow thought making tunneling even stronger wouldn't result in having no fun matches because survivors give up after being tunneled. I assume people who defend the changes to pallet density have the strongest killers in mind, but these killers are completely unaffected by these pallet changes, so that sense of "let's see how you like it!" doesn't work the way you think it does. Do we all just want to play against Blight and Nurse? I don't.

Killers don't want to be forced to play the strongest killers every game. Survivors don't want to see the same killers over and over. It makes me very disappointed there is not a general understanding of why individual killers need to be adjusted and not the game balance on the macro scale (excluding tunneling, it needs to be adjusted and I say that as an avid tunneler; that's a different topic and unrelated).

If you'd like an anecdote, I started tonight by playing Survivor. I played against a Pig then a Trapper, and for some reason I cannot for the life of me understand, my teammates bmed at exit gate and taunted the killer in EGC, basically begging that person to switch to Blight with 4 full meta perks. Once I finished my survivor quests, I switched to killer as Myers and Springtrap. I kept losing and survivors were bming and awful in EGC (I got held hostage even with the abandon feature lmao); I got so frustrated I just switched to Ghoul. Did I have fun? Not really. Did I want to play Ghoul? Also, not really. But I'd rather win and not have fun than lose to something dumb and feel cheated (I'm very competitive). I hate feeling like I have to switch off killers because it feels impossible to win, and the smugness both my teammates and opponents demonstrated was so pathetic, stupid and completely unhelpful (respectfully).

Please be kind, please avoid role tribalism, and please: revert this change.

Honestly, bming doesn't usually bother me nearly as much as the same degree as poor game design does. If someone pallet stuns me and bms, that's distance they lost. If there is a pallet so strong that even if they dont stun me they can still bm and either use the same pallet or chain it into another tile, THEN I am upset. Regardless, I agree with you.
