Game crashes upon booting up and the event splash stream starting

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: When I start the game it runs fine until the Haunted by Daylight splash screen starts.
PLATFORM: PC/Steam
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: Just as stated above. The game played fine last night, this problem just started with the event.
