15 hooks in the void
For the love of God, please change this. I do not play to have to sit in the void for half an hour to see if survivors will be kind enough to let me hook them there.

Nevermind, I was fortunate enough to find a couple of groups of survivors that permitted me to farm this.
FYI for the future it is asinine to have a goal that requires your opposition to assist you in completing it. If I hadn't gotten groups of kind survivors this either would not have happened or would have taken forever organically.

Is it that uncommen for your games that someone uses the void? I see it relatively often, I just don't have time to actually do something with most of the time xD

I had a few games last night where the survivors didn't go into the void once. I am not exaggerating. Why aren't they just in the normal queue?
That being said the problem is they have to go into the void injured. If they are healthy and you hit them in the void they just leave. So I tried a few different ways to keep them injured(hit and run wraith, legion with broken addon) and it didn't make a difference. When they were injured they simply did not go into the void. I got 3 hooks in the void organically over the course of like 4 hours last night before I broke and just started begging people to let me complete it.

In my games they literally go into the void injured mid chase and that with me being huntress. Speaking of her you should try her, even if they are healthy they probably won't make it out without getting snipped xD

Hell, you might be right. Maybe I need to branch out my killer roster.

Well wraith was an good idea as well I must say, I just think m1 killers aren't as good for hitting people in the void in general. Alternatively you could play blight of course or something like chucky, deathslinger should also work pretty good - with a bit of tactic artist would prevent them from leaving as a whole xD

Wait until you get a mission that requires scooping a surv off a gen.

Just play normally and you'll eventually get it. There's over 2 weeks left, for fudge's sake. Quit being being an impatient toddler.

But they have a "life".

I only play on the weekends. I don't mind challenges that can be done organically or that I can tailor a build to work for. Hit a survivor while exposed? Make your choice, iri plank, stuff like that. I can have fun with that.
This? If I only get two hooks organically in four hours how does that bode for finishing the quest? This quest requires you to either get incredibly lucky or ask your opponents to help you with it. It's not fun. It's just RNG.

The main problem is that survivors now have 0 reasons to go into the void. The killer gets a notification, when you enter, they know when you leave, there are 0 usable tiles in there and if the killer slugs you, they can decide to keep you slugged as you are now locked into the void.
I actually have a bubba who waited 4 minutes to just slug me to death in the void. I have no reasons to ever go into the void.
The crystals repair gens for you? So what? Every killer seems to run Ruin so that fully gets countered. If those Crystals turned their progression into BNP-like progress, it would actually be worth going, but Ruin fully removing any progress at the cost of being slugged in the void? No thank you.1 -
You go into the void when you know the killer is occupied, not just randomly. Ruin is a hex and can be cleansed.
I'm not sure if people just really lack any sort of game sense or what. It's like solving the cube; do it when the killer is doing something else.

They tend to be wishy washy about it. They'll do a challenge like this and then you won't see any for a while and you're like, ugh thank God they finally listened. And then immediately after there's another one. 😭

I myself am on 8/15 already. I don't mind it, we have a lot of time - still 15 or 16 days.

It's uncommon, but thanks to the marker showing who's in the void, it's quite simple to get someone hooked in there.
If you don't care about the overall outcome of the match, you can hook every person who enters the void.

Plenty of times killers will actively drop chase to go into the void if they want to take advantage of slugging there.
And the fact that it's a hex or not, does not change the fact that it actively counters an event.
I have never seen this many Ruin's in a row since 2022. Like, imagine the haunted ghost wouldnt be able to injure a survivor because they are running inside Circle of Healing. "It's just a boon, you can snuff it". The problem is that a perk actively counters an event mechanic to the point of uselessness. Every single game would have Circle of Healing if it would counter the damage of the haunted ghost and you know it.-2 -
Frankly if they are going to make challenges that require survivor to do things first that they can avoid doing entirely before you can progress them, then either interacting with the event should be mandatory towards objective completion in all event games. Or, the survivor interaction challenges have to be alot longer (as they are far easier to do) than the killer ones so there are more opportunities for progress.

To be honest I've not had any problem downing Survivors in the Void. I usually get a couple per match. You've gotta be quick to jump on it, and strategize around not letting them reach the Portals to get out.
But I do understand how frustrating it is to have your accomplishments be entirely dependent on whether your opponent decides to take a specific action: I have the same frustration with the "Grab 15 Survivors out of the Security Door" achievement, or the "Escape with the Hand or Eye of Vecna" achievement.

Not really? They have to be injured and also in the void for you to hook them. If they're healthy they just leave when you hit them. So you need injured survivors that don't know you're waiting in the void to enter it and you either need to be waiting for them or be close enough to a portal to meet them there.
It's a lot of hoops to jump through. My experience has been that injured survivors don't go into the void. My experience is also that if you just sit in the void nobody goes in there. It's probably easier with an insta down killer but I don't play any of those. It's a stupid quest.

Well after i made a gen rush squad all DC within the first minute of the game i found the easy way to do this. Bots will actually go into the void alot and not try to exit while in chase. So get survivors to DC and farm hooks from the bots!

Just saw they changed this to four hooks. Good job on listening behavior interactive.
