Who do you main and why?

Been playing too long to have 1 main. But my 1st was Rebecca Chambers. I never thought that much of her until the project W chapter came around and somehow i was just instantly excited to play as her. The voice acting was done really well, her perks are actually usefull as a general build with stakeout, and shes the ONLY resident evil survivor in the game that looks as close as possible to her original version while everyone else is a remake version or mixed. Shes also got some kind of attractive "cuteness" to her which seems to make her stand out more among other attractive characters.

2nd one was Xenomorph as ive been a huge fan of aliens vs predator since growing up in the 90s, played every game, saw every movie, read tons of the comics, read several novels. So naturally i was quite happy to have xenomorph. Not so much ripley as she is literally an original character cosplaying as sigourney weaver's ripley and itl always feel that way to me.

3rd was Dracula, as ive played alllllllll the castlevanias, start to finnish even 100%ing achievements, so being able to play as the big bad from over 23 games when he was only playable in a fighting game on the wii, was a big deal.

4th of course was Trevor Belmont. But im not going to lie and say i was very dissapointed on the survivor end of that chapter as i was wishing for Shanoa and Simon Belmont. What i got was a 1 off version of trevor, who wasnt even the main character of his game but a recurring boss fight who you can unlock for a new game mode, whos personality sucked. And then they threw salt on the wounds by making Simon into clothes.... FOR TREVOR! and when i held into hope that maybe they will give Shanoa as a later legendary skin, they tossed her in a bulk cosplay rift as clothes…. FOR YUI!. And i suppose i prestiged him for Soma and Alucard but they werent exactly my favorites either.

5th was Rize. Now i know the whole controversy over the ghoul in dbd being the most hated thing to exist. But that didnt stop me from prestiging her to 100. Barely play her because of the hate but she was my favorite character from the show because i have a thing for anime girls with glasses and throughout the show every character turns out to be afraid of her in some way.

6th was Lara Croft. (These are all p100s so far) i remember growing up with tomb raider being more of a sex symbol in gaming and i was totally fine with that, loved her for it even as she was the hot woman with huge boobs adventuring and shooting stuff. I was not however a fan of the big change which to me felt very feminist in the way they changed everything about her from shrinking her boobs to 1/4 size, making sure she never wears shorts or shows too much skin, making all of her badguys evil lecherous men (wich before they were just typical henchmen badguys) and so i waited till she got her classic look with the shorts and knotted ponytail to prestige her (though that outfit actually shrinks her boobs even further :(

7th im currently working on skull merchant (83). When she first came out i loved the design i really liked her default short black hair and her first outfit was an underboob / barecheek swimsuit so i just fell in love and bought alllll her cosmetics since. But it took a while to start actively playing her because she was the first to be hates like the ghoul. Now that shes been nerfed into the ground i still enjoy playing her with a half stealth half aura build which works quite well still.

Claire Redfield is my favorite character in video games. But I enjoy playing the other RE characters too.

Nemesis is what inspired me to try Killer again. The zombies were exactly what I needed to make the match feel less lonely, and funny when they do something.

Killer side my main is:

Why? Because she's an icon.

Survivor side, my main is Claire Redfield at least until Robin Buckley from Stranger Things is added to Dead by Daylight, which might never happen.

Sable is my main. Quite simply because I like the goth aesthetic, and the quirky voice lines.
I got her to P100 earlier this year, and then I started working on my next.

Feng was my original main, back when I started playing around Halloween 7 years ago.
I felt it was only fitting that I went the distance with her too.

Last week, I hit my goal, and Feng got to P100 as well.
Now I have started working on my next survivor, but she will be a secret for later.

As for killers, I am currently in the process of getting Myers up to P100 - Currently at P16

Cheryl Mason and ALL of her legendary skins (Maria, James, Lisa, Cybil) because silent hill is simply CINEMA (especially Lisa's story of SH1, stuck in such a tragic situation :c )

Short reason: Legion and Meg, because I gotta go fast.

Longer reasons:

I like Legion because their power is simple and easy to use, but they're also surprisingly versatile when it comes to perk builds. Frenzy vaulting is a ton of fun, though I do admit the novelty of vaulting pallets like a Survivor has been diluted since Chucky/Kaneki/Krasue, who can do everything Legion can do and more. In any case, I love the concept of a Killer that could under other circumstances have easily entered the fog as a Survivor.

To me they're the ideal Killer if you just want to turn off your brain and let Killer Instinct tell you where to find the next Survivor to chase. Just a chill Killer to play as really. They have a well deserved reputation for being a "noob stomper", but they're also often underrated by more experienced Survivors and you can still do quite well with them if you make optimal decisions and understand their strengths and weakness. Susie is my main because I like her sense of style the most and her personality is the closest to my own. My other two Killer mains Chucky and Billy share some things in common with Legion (Chucky also has similarities to Survivor gameplay and Billy is another gotta go fast Killer you can play chill if you want to).

On Survivor, I was a Dwight main when I started until I "upgraded" to Meg and I've mostly stuck with her ever since. I guess I'm a creature of habit. I like Meg mostly because I like her voice acting. I don't know how to explain, it just sounds cute to me. Kinda important, since you'll be hearing those sounds all game (it doesn't matter how many nice skins she gets, I could never be a Feng main. I don't know how anyone can stand her injured noises). She also has some decent base game cosmetic options, though for how popular she is, BHVR don't seem to give her much love compared to Yui/Sable/Feng or Kate. I also like that nobody expects much from a Meg. The meme that she's often a terrible teammate takes the pressure off a little.

The only Survivor that's come along that could really knock Meg off the top spot is Vee. I've wanted a rock musician Survivor for a long time since I also spent my teens and 20's playing in bands🤘. Yes, I know we have Kate already, but I have a feeling I'd really hate Kate's music.

My licensed main is Rain because I love Alien. Her model isn't the best. But unlike Ripley, BHVR at least got the likeness of the actress who plays her. If BHVR ever add a Gremlins chapter with Billy and Kate or a Stranger Things part 2 with Robin or any of the Ghostbusters, you can bet they would all become my mains too.

I have two mains:

Lisa Garland - she is quite possibly the biggest representation of my DBD persona. She is the one I pour the most BP into.

Rose Marigold - probably also a fitting persona for me in DBD, however I purposefully keep her at low prestige (was at 0 for the longest time until very recently when I accidentally pressed the prestige button lol)

I’m generally a potato and not very good at the game but I will usually try my best to support my teammates.

I circle between Hag, Artist, Houndmaster and Plague.

I played Myers before his rework, and occasionally I boot up Wraith.

I main twins because victor is a demented looking creature and its funny watching survivors trying to get him off. lol

since the rework, I’ve honestly been playing a lot of Freddy Krueger recently because not only is he technically our fourth trap killer with his dream pallets, but he’s also extremely fun and surprisingly a hard killer to play if you want to get the maximum value from his power and I love the challenge of that. (that and he’s honestly one of my favorite horror icons)

as for my main survivor I play Orela just because I really like her lore.

I main Hag because I am a very sad person and have severe ADHD.

Hag gameplay itself is absurdly difficult to explain and elaborate on due to her extreme macro so this is gonna be really ######### hard but Ima try.

In summary I really enjoy her playstyle of creating a figurative spiderweb to bait and ensnare survivors into; their situation growing worse as one gets caught after another. She also combines gameplay aspects of a bunch of killers I enjoy, requires A TON of macro.

To try and put her power into perspective mechanically, imagine if The Unknown's ability to teleport ability came in the form of ten modeless and auraless Trapper traps on the ground which upon a survivor entering roughly 3 meters of instantly spawns an illusion for six seconds and starts the killer's chase music up on whoever triggered it for as long as the illusion is there. You also have no movement penalty out of a teleport, can attack immediately out of a teleport, have zero cooldown between teleports, and the survivor's camera is instantly spun around to face to illusion so they run into it (unless they flick -__-), and your own camera is facing the survivor who triggered it after you teleport. You also have an addon which removes any sign that the illusion spawned at all so you can just APPEAR in front of people when teleporting. You can turn an area into a minefield of these surprise illusion and drop them during chase like beartraps, but they're deposable and you never ever need to pick them up before placing new ones so you can just throw them done wherever and whenever, and the traps have an AOE trigger so you don't have to worry about survivors running around them.

There all sorts of stuff you can do with traps too like trapping pallets so you can just pick survivors up off of them when they try to fast vault them mid chase. You can do ######### like mindgame and just not teleport at all after the trap is triggered so if they flick away or vault backwards to avoid it they just get hit anyway. I don't think much rivals the joy I get out of stupid survivors who wandered back into my web to their syringe medkit I franklinsed only to get smacked and hooked for it.

She's also a massive goober and I think it is funny :]
