Please consider bringing back Depth of Field to the maps
Dead by Daylight used to have this feature that created a blur effect at certain distances, giving the environment a unique cinematic charm and greatly enhancing immersion. I cry every day over the fact that the devs removed it.
The game urgently needs graphical improvements that increase immersion and contribute to its horror atmosphere. Considering that we’ll be getting some visual tweaks starting with the next PTB and the Autohaven map, I sincerely ask that you consider reintroducing this technique to the maps.

I would like to have this opportunity too.
The old screenshots and old lighting look very atmosphericPost edited by YulechkaLive on9 -
being back the old lighting for maps. Nobody complained about them:

Honestly blur at long distance would be a good way to hide and obscure things.

Big thanks to everyone who commented and showed support! Let’s make sure the devs see it!

The single greatest loss DbD ever experienced was atmosphere.

That blur and fog not only made the maps a lot cooler, it also helps make stuff like Michael or Ghostface's stalking a lot more creepy looking, and stealth in general feeling more spooky. 10/10, please return the old visuals..

I still mourn the loss of the old lighting. The graphics overhaul they did might've improved the textures, but all of the original atmosphere was lost.

Those screenshots do look great! I would love to have those effects to boost the horror immersion even more. I feel like some maps are too bright and clean compared to others.

Absolutely!
The high-quality textures and more detailed objects were very welcome, but the changes in the map atmosphere — fewer props, reduced fog — took away the game’s immersive experience, which in my humble opinion should be a priority. It’s no surprise that with each DLC and patch, players are becoming increasingly competitive, solo survival more exhausting, and strong killers even stronger. Everyone ends up losing.

Yes, I agree but I don't want the game to be as dark as it used to be either as it was so hard to see anything as a console gamer

I agree! I really liked the changes they showed for Autohaven, the map looks subtly clearer but more immersive and visually beautiful! I think that’s the right direction to go.
