So are we removing sprint burst on command from 2v8 too?
This ######### is so extremely busted and annoying to verse and was clearly put because of legion. Anyone that isn't a dash killer is legit unplayable because of it.

literally, everyone I see just preruns. I had a game of trapper on lerys and I found it practically impossible since you can't turn a corner without finding a window.
Also can we get rid of Lery's too its like the worst map in the game. (h/j)

Medic is also really good right now as 2 of them can instaheal everyone in a large radius everytime their ability is off CD, which also was only really countered.. By Deep Wound, which Legion is the only Killer except Deathslinger that can inflict that in 2v8 right now.

If you don’t like it, don’t play killer in 2v8. Killer queues are still insanely long, so I’m sure someone else will gladly take your spot in the queue.
I’m not saying this to criticize you, it’s just the reality of what is needed to actually make people want to play survivor in 2v8 mode. The devs should keep buffing survivor side until there is a better balance between the killer and survivor queues.5 -
But the problem is the survivors are already extremely powerfull in 2v8 but people are so bad at the game that they dont see this, and BHVR keeping buffing them thinking they will have more desire to play but this is just making killer unplayable.

I haven't been on to play the mode yet - did they even change anything between the last and current iteration of 2v8 when it comes to survivor abilities? If not then I'm not sure what the problem is.

Fun times, would definitely play 2v8 as a survivor even without the BP bonus and the instant queue, cough cough.

Honestly I'd not mind if it went back to the old way, I hope they add other exhaustion variants like a head on/last stand class and a boon one eventually.
I really feel survivors need more variety to make this mode a main stay. I really enjoy both sides now Legion isn't here though, love playing killer it's so much fun, best tip I can give to other killers is work with your team mate more.4 -
The survivor side is already the better side to play in 2v8 though.

several killer games in 2v8 and they were all miserable.

I played 5 games as survivor yesterday and escaped all of them. I felt no pressure as a survivor and killers struggled hard. SB on command made my chases very easy.
Dracula and PHead seem to struggle hard as well. I dunno, im losing interest to this mode as a survivor and as a killer.
Edit. Played 15 or 16 survivor games now.. died in only one. Survivors in my matches have all mostly escaped. What happened? I'm not even sure i want to try killer at this point. Also did the pallet density update also hit 2v8? I feel like i see pallets everywhere, more than usual.

The people playing this game tend to play for one thing and one thing only. Winning. That's a sad reality I had to acknowledge over the last few years.
How do you make people play a game mode more? You make them win more. How do you achieve that? You give them really strong stuff.

I agree that this class is strong but pre-running is exactly the same as old sb so I'm not seeing the difference there. Now if used in chase to extend chase I can see it being more complained about. That makes it more like lithe or smash hit without the activation requirement. Maybe a slightly longer cooldown will bring it into more balance.

Yes, that’s the whole point. Some will find killer “unplayable” (I don’t) which helps reduce the number of people waiting in line to play killer. The whole point is to try to balance out the desirability of both sides as evenly as possible.

You're actually wrong. Survivors were extremely buffed in version 2, queues didn't change. Legion got removed queues didn't change. Survivor is not interesting to play because there's not much to do, not because they need buffing.

In a 1v1 scenario, yes, the Sprint Burst on demand is very strong. But if we consider the 2v8 scenario, Escapist is the worst class for survivor. I really would rather go against 4 Escapist than 4 Medics or 4 Scouts.
But yeah, depending on the killer you are playing it feels so bad to lose a down or a hit because of the Sprint Burst

Its not sprintburst on comnand (the strongest form of exhastion perk it was evere in DBD with og dead hard) but dont forget survivor gets like 6-8 seconds of quick and quiet with it plus when sluged he gets up faster than other classes because his cooldown is 30 soconds instead of 60 to 90 seconds.
I dont think it should be removed but its cooldown should be like 50 or 60 seconds because its wery strong effect that gives sprintburst to multiple survivors if they are close to escapist class and escapist gets quick and quiet and 30 second cooldown is joke for probably second strongest power in 2v8 survivors have (strongest is repearing pallets). Again this is ok against killers that can catch up like nurse,blight,billy,spirit,wesker,wraith and now dracula but using it against other killers its super easy escape and someone like slinger just eats the dust.

I agree that the devs should remove it. It would improve killer QoL not having to deal with SB on-demand 24/7. It was just not made for this game mode cause its too strong in coordination with the other effects and guarantees survs make it to a safe tile. They should also take a look at other classes because having to break a rebuilt shack pallet for the 80th time gets old pretty quick.

And even with that people don’t want to play the mode… imo 2v8 should alwayy give more bp to survivors to at least be the mode that gives more bloodpoints.

I agree, I enjoy survivor more than killer in 2v8, but apparently there still aren’t enough people who also agree to help balance out the queue times. Yesterday I still had a 25 minute wait for killer.

I didn't say sprint burst in general. BHVR tied it to activate ability button in the previous version along with legion changes. It's obnoxious to deal with if you're not playing Blight, Oni.

People do want to play 2v8. Just not as survivor.
While I personally find survivor in 2v8 a lot more enjoyable than in 1v4, but the lack of novelty (which is honesty impressive since this is, what, the 6th iteration?) leads to more people playing killer, which will always feel refreshing to play due to the multiplayer aspect.
BP will not make tons of people switch from killer to survivor. If people have the choice between something they have no interest in, but get chocolate for doing it and something theyreally like doing, it is only logical for them to pick the thing that is more fun to them. Especially after a long day of work.

I stopped playing killer in 2v8 because of this. It is as frustrating as old dead hard to swing just to see the survivor sprinting away while they are already running.

I only queued up for 2V8 Survivor for something to do while waiting to play Legion, so I don't have a horse in this race anymore.
But can we maybe stop trying to get all the fun but broken things removed from the mode that's all about playing with fun but broken things? Thanks.

The other three classes are so absolutely busted that it makes the actual gen focused class look like a joke. Rebuilding pallets is by far one of the strongest tools to keep an important gen safe around a tile, while Medic can extend chases on coordinated teams. Just know where they are, and they'll heal you mid chase, if not just heal themselves if they're ones being chased off.
There are very easy but intuitive alternatives they could have gone with which are already in 1v4, like Medic instead providing a boost to healing speeds to anyone in his AoE instead to not disrupt chases. Scouts instead making fragile pallets. Or Escapist just working like before where it was a proper Sprint Burst, or hell, even like Lithe if you want to keep it strong.
None of this would be a problem if killer classes had its own weird jank, but they're inconsequential at best and they gutted Shadow which everyone agreed was the most fun one.5 -

So… after two days playing non-stop this 2v8… yeah, Sprint Burst on command is idiot, LOL. It just makes people who are bad at chases gain one "free hit" if they know when to use this. It Old DH on steroids. Maybe they should rework this to dramaturgy (but without the negative effects) or just give finesse while the class maintain the normal sprint burst.
At the end of the day, Medic and Scout are stronger than Escapist but its quite stupid the way this class works. I'm playing Dracula on the 2v8 but i wonder how the weaker killers must be feeling against this.

I don't understand why they removed the 500% bonus for survivor. It was the best incentive the mode could have.
But i don't think the problem not having enough survivors wanting to play. Its just that there are too many killers wanting to play the mode.

Pretty sure I cough up with a Spring Burst survivor using Legion's power a few times in the last 2v8. They're usually the last person to hit before the power goes into cool down.

tbf old Dead Hard is nowhere near on the level as on sprint burst activation, I still think the distance gained from dead hard was way overblown and comparable to Dramaturgy more than anything.
It was the invuln that was the issue, and with the map nerfs (when the pallet changes are reverted), I feel it really wouldn't be a huge issue anymore. with current pallet counts, not so much.-1 -
Compared to Dead Hard's history in 1v4, sure. But in the context of 2v8, its Dead Hard 2.0 that will just deny a killer from getting a proper hit.
It will save you 90% of the situations, specially when the 2 killers are nearby. The only killers who can mindgame and punish a survivor for using the Sprint Burst is Blight or Nurse, while everyone else gets absolutely ######### by pressing the funny button once you notice the killer is about to get the hit.2 -
I think its worse than Old DH if you know when to use it. Old DH was distance + invulnerability you could use to reach a loop. It was "press a button to play better than your opponent". This one you can just wait to be closer to a lunge distance and then sprint away from the attack, gaining even more distance than Old DH.
I've been using this for my chases and to support others and its quite stupid how easy and effective it is.

There will always be more demand for Survivors than Killers in 2v8 no matter how you balance it, simply because its the only game mode where Killers can play with another Killer, while in 2v8 survivor your basically just playing the game the same as you always do. Killer massively sucks in 2v8 but people still flock to it solely because there is no other way to play 2 killers.
You could literally make 2v8 Survivor twice as powerful as they already are and give them a 1000% Bloodpoint bonus, and the Killer queue would still be over-packed.

Exactly, specially with the play while you wait feature, there's more incentive to everyone try to both sides. There is no need to make one side stronger in hopes to deminish the queues of the other. Might as well give proper balance and content to both sides to make matches overall more fun.

Oni is very weak untill he gets power or if survivor runs into weak tiles that are easy to mind game with m1 but in general he sucks until he gets power and then its showtime.

They added this crap as a way to "compensate" for Legion, then removed the braindead killer without reverting the braindead class.

Or give it bigger cooldown than 30 seconds, medic can heal 50% of health state in the area range with 90 seconds cooldown, scout has 60 seconds cooldown I think for pallet rebuild which is strong but escapist class still beats it for survivability, lastly guide has 60 seconds cooldown or 90 still Idk and his power is just mainly two perks in basekit but isnt much usefull just annoying or if you want do 95% and higher progressed gen into killers face but thats for YT or ttv people to get vievs. Escapist has 30 seconds cooldown for sprintburst but with quick and quiet which is strong for escape but worst for killer is that this ability is on comand with such small cooldown if it was 60 seconds than it wouldnt be so busted and on top of that you give every survivor around you like in 12 meters range or what 50% haste which is sprintburst too and many killers without catch up or insane speed are done there even wraith is just someone who wants to scare you more than injure you because he cant if survivor doesnt make mistake and runs from him.
So they should either make it to work as normal sprintburst which activates on pressing shift or give it minimaly 60 seconds cooldown because 30 seconds are joke and keep it as it is now.
Still I think original escapist class the first version was more busted you got sprintburst normal one without quick and quiet as now but cooldown was I think 20 seconds or 30 seconds and 20 exhastion something like that but you got WOO as now, when you were injured you had made for this speed 3% haste and now you give survivors around you sprintburst too but Im not sure if its 50% haste for just 2 seconds instead of 3 or if there is cap like for 2 survivors, just the old one didnt have cap or anything so he could gave sprintburst whole team if they were near him plus he had selfcare ofter being caged once like now which made this class just so easy to survive as and escape with more than now you had just strong info for chase, strong exhastion perk,made for this speed when injured and could heal your self alone to save time or when there was no one to heal you.
