Some of the lore allows for a rare experience of two of the same killer! i would LOVE to see that uniquely expressed in 2v8 in the future!

Fact of the matter is, by even making it a thing in the first place, you give people a justification to be pushing for more than just lore accurate cases to double up.
There is no reason to assume it won't happen, because it will and bhvr will eventually relent, like they always do when there is enough demand for something.

The fact that every survivor alredy exists in infinite number due to them being pulled from different timelines/dimensions and allowing stuff like 4 alan wakes to be in the same group - is where everyone would start going "why cant we have 2 trappers" etc. And the primary reason they only have 1 of each killer is to avoid overbuffing as a team like 2 nemis making extra zombies and all the pallets would be shredded quickly, or 2 blights would be all over the map at all times, or 2 pyramid heads would flood the map with trails, 2 legions would cancel eachother out etc. And lastly itd be up to each license holder to allow for doubles, which means rewriting their contracts 1 by 1 until all agree, some might not and then there will be people complaining that 1 got doubles but the other didnt. Itd just be a mess they don't want to deal with.

I don't really care about it being lore accurate for the license or not, I don't think that matters, The Entity can make shadow clones or whatever. I also don't think balancing would be a problem. Like, is x2 Blights really going to be that much stronger than Nurse + Blight? Both will definitely be stronger than x2 Nemesis or x2 Pyramid Head or etc, I'm not worried about other Killer combos too much.
What I do think is real cause for concern is the fun factor. Having 2 of the same Killer in 2v8 is inherently less interesting than 2 different Killers and could result in much more boring matches.
I think for special events, like a unique x2 Ghostface event with maybe some special mechanics could work. And when we can eventually get custom game 2v8s, I think it's a no brainer feature to let people experiment with. But for regular 2v8 matchmaking, I prefer 2 different killers each time

You clearly don't know this community well enough then, if you've deluded yourself into thinking that people won't push for all of the killers to be played by both killer players.
But hey, keep fooling yourself into thinking people won't push for maximum variety.
