Put Silent Unhook Notifications On Slippery Meat
During PTB 9.3.0, the perk Wicked had - among other, more busted effects - unhooks providing no notification for the killer.
Personally, I like this being a perk effect and not a basekit effect, as basekit killers should be able to use unhook notifications as macro info and occasionally as their only lead to follow up on for survivor locations. Survivors being able to spend a perk slot to mess with that + lower the chance of being tunnelled seems much more appropriate to me, and pretty healthy overall.
Since it's not going on Wicked (and frankly PTB Wicked was overloaded with too many effects anyway), I would like to pitch that it instead be put on Slippery Meat.
The reason for that is twofold. First, everyone has access to Slippery Meat, so it wouldn't be paywalled behind even Iridescent Shards, and second, Slippery Meat kinda sucks and really needs to have a better niche than it already has.
Frankly, you could even take its current effect off it in exchange for this and it'd still be much better, though at that point some small secondary effect would probably be fair to give it.
Bottom line is, that effect was neat as a perk effect and there's a pretty solid thematic space to put it other than on Wicked that'd basically benefit everyone. What do you guys think?

That’s actually a great idea lol

They probably want more sable players. Good money for her cosmetics

Once again putting features that should be basekit onto perks to limit build freedom.

Like I said, I don't agree that this should be basekit.
Keeping track of where survivors are via ambient information like crows, scratch marks, and unhook notifications is important, and while removing any one of those isn't that big of a deal, I also don't think it's a good idea.
Don't get me wrong, obviously there needs to be more basekit anti-tunnel, but I don't think this particular effect is one of the things that should change there.

My viewpoint is that the unhook notification is flawed when it comes to anti-tunnel, but that I also agree with the sentiment of being rewarded with survivor location info via hooks. It's just that the unhook notification (and subsequent UI update) primarily serves tunneling.
It's something I've always been used to as Killer, and that the game and perk design has been used to (which would need to be addressed with any other kind of suppression).
But maybe if hooking a survivor gave some kind of a basekit Spies from the Shadows effect for a duration instead? That could be something that provides location information while also promoting movement around the map.

Honestly Slippery Meat should have a different effect altogether.
But this would be a nice thing to add to it.

I agree 100%

If you build for it, you can get 74% self unhook chance across 6 attempts with Slippery Meat, Up the Ante and a Vigo' Lips offering, without any support from your team... which is just silly to me.
Frankly, you could even take its current effect off it in exchange for this and it'd still be much better, though at that point some small secondary effect would probably be fair to give it.
This is a direction I agree with.
Before the AFC was reworked, I would have given this perk an extra 4m on the killer AFC radius and have every 15% of AFC progress pause the sacrifice timer for 4 seconds as a basekit anti-camp perk, since the only other perks that provide this are Reassurance and Camaradarie, which are both paywall perks.
However with the AFC change this doesn't work so well as the AFC scales geometrically as long as the killer remains in range... maybe the extra range might be enough? Not sure.

Love this Idea!

I see the vision behind wanting it to be an AFC-emboldening perk, but I think there might be better directions to look considering the new buffs to that system.
One thing I thought might be interesting is to replace the self-unhook chance with no pools of blood or scratch marks for 40 seconds. That way, players can run it and OTR for a homebrew Elusive effect (except stronger because Elusive cancelled on Conspicuous Actions, which OTR's stealth effects don't and I don't think SP's should either).
There would be one effect shared between each perk, but I think they'd stand on their own well enough, on top of synergising. Options for multiple playstyles, and it's definitely on brand with the idea of being slippery.0 -
I would prefer that effect to be basekit, but getting it on slippery meat would be nice as well. The unhook notification makes tunneling too comfortable to use and without it, it would at least be more annoying to do.

this. the amount of times i’ve seen and experienced killers using the unhook notification to tunnel rather than simply using it as macro knowledge is too high for me to count. almost every play session there will be at least one game where i’ll see the killer chasing someone or doing something random, hear the loud noise from unhook and then instantly rush back to the hook to tunnel. at the very least, implement the removal of the loud noise notification so the killer actually has to glance over at the hud instead of a “hey come over here” noise notification.
like seriously, how hard is it to glance over at the hud to see if someone got unhooked? we’re in 2025, the loud noise is super outdated and unhealthy.
