Friends Til The End should not switch obsession to a survivor with the most hook states
Problem: FTTE can randomly switch obsession to the death hook survivor and permanently put them at increased risk for the rest of the game (making tunneling them out easier). Meanwhile, the no hook Nea can be hidden across the map while their team are all death hook (I just had a game where I did this).
Suggestion: Any survivor not on hook, tied for most hook states, is immune to becoming obsession by Friends. If all survivors have the most hook states, this restriction is ignored.
Reason: This change will reinforce its strength as a perk to spread hooks across all survivors instead of tunneling one out. If needed, counterbuff a different part of the perk.
Example: If I hook obsession Ace for the first time the 2 hook Bill can't become obsession but the 1 hook Claire and David can.

It's currently random which means sometimes you are unlucky. The same goes for when it pops for someone all the way across the map for the Killer.

How does hooking two other Survivors and then a Survivor that's dead on hook count as tunnelling?
You'd need one hook to switch the obsession, and another hook to proc the aura/exposed. That's the opposite of tunnelling.

If it wasn't countered by hiding in a locker, I would agree. But as it is, just hide in a locker and you can't become the Obsession.
Before anyone says this is too cryptic to figure out, getting in a locker is standard counterplay vs. scream perks.

Alien Instinct does that too. If you're in a locker it can't reveal you or make you oblivious, it will go to the next farthest injured survivor instead (if there is one, if not then the perk does nothing)

Now that I didn't know, I thought it would act like any other aura perk and still target you, but not reveal the aura. How interesting, cheers for that 😁🤘

Spreading hooks between 2 survivors is not tunneling. I play friends and it's completely random but chances that it would chose the same two survivors over and over is absolutely minimal and if it's still not tunneling. Also survivors are notified of becoming obsession so they have headstart before killer comes and also can avoid becoming obsession by hiding in a locker.

To clarify, I'm being quite loose with the word "tunneling" but in general I think it would be good if perks like Friends consistently helped to spread hooks. (Side note, I have a short novel of a post explaining that part of an anti-tunnel system should just be reworking perks to reward spreading hooks)
That said, I like to run it with Furtive Chase/Nemesis so for me the value in Friends that helps me "tunnel" is the info of the scream/obsession switch, I pretty much never play for the exposed down. I always want to chase/hook the obsession because I'm getting 8 seconds of aura and 18 seconds of 10% haste on someone who is oblivious, and I want to keep that obsession hook cycle going.
I will very frequently hook an obsession and then hook a new obsession shortly after, and Friends will direct me to the person who just came off hook - I would love for it to switch to the unhooker to make it more fun. And in the game that prompted me to post this last night, three people were death hook and started dying while there was a Nea that never become obsession (and so I never chased) until only two people were alive.
