Is cheating hooks a thing now?
I get incidents that I down someone and I just don't get the prompt to hook them with hook not being broken.
Is it a bug or do they cheat in my 1/10 games now?

If you have a video it would be more helpful. Maybe a Survivor was crouching in front of you, blocking the Hook? This would at least be an explanation which is neither a cheat nor a Bug.

Yes, that happened to me too, i also would love to know. I think it was a cheater however, because one of the survivors wiggled out within 2-3 seconds out of my grasp without flip flop nor me dropping from elevations with boil over. Weird thing tho is that i couldnt hook on hooks on which survs were hook prior, the never-used hooks were normal. Towards the endgame it stopped happening and hooks were normal, but that could've been a cheater just turning it off if that's a thing.

That's something I've seen cheaters do. If there is anything else fishy about them, it's fair to assume they were cheating.

That's something I had with a guy that was also teleporting, including out of my grasp.
I clearly remember it because I've kept track of his Steam account after I've reported him with a video.
That was months ago. He never got banned. (That was also the last time I wasted my time writing a report.)

Yes, it is a thing and here is my proof. It is survivor hacking and cheating. The more players are aware and informed, the more we can hopefully get stuff moving and get these players out of our game.

Yes its a thing but also can be legit. Survivors can block the prompt and can stand behind you blocking the animation from playing.
When its a cheat, most of the time, you will freeze in place after pressing space to hook. The survivor will continue to wiggle and break free.

cheaters are rampant, had them all, killer cant hook, insta healing, speed hacks, wall hacks, just had a spirit with no cooldown on attacks and insta downs.

Yes Cheaters have the ability to disable the hook prompt when a killer goes to hook a survivor. If you experience this send a report

Hard to tell honestly:
Mostly it's a cheater that just denies you hooking him or others. That being said I had one instance where I think there was no cheater but it simply bugged out.

Yes this is a real Cheat. Its them preventing you from hooking them. The only way to kill them is to let them bleed out. But This will lead to them either Insta Pick and healing or speed hacks to provent you from Downing them.

Either the hook itself is bugged or you played against a cheater who managed to disable the hook prompt.
We dont know which is which, since we cant see what happened. Sorry.
