2v8 in PTB feels incredibly unbalanced right now

First of all, PTB is for the most part pretty fun! Love The First and all the new characters!
This feedback is more so on 2v8, from a Killer's perspective.
It's still fun, as always, but it feels very over tuned at the moment and unbalanced (more so in the Survivor's favour).
Being able to remove hook states (cage states?) and allowing nearly all 8 survivors to flashlight/bully the killer is going to be very tough, especially for newer/inexperienced players. Maybe I had a bugged game, maybe not, but there definitely needs to be a cap on the Torchbearer class, as 8 flashlighters means Killers pretty much can't pick up.
My suggestion (to make it more casual and fun- for both sides) would be to implement a cap on this class (again, if there already is one, my apologies- I could very well have gotten a bugged game, who knows!), and have more incentive for those to try killer. I understand we're trying to cater for the more casual player- which is great! But there should be incentive for the casual player to WANT to try Killer as well.
As it stands right now, it feels super unbalanced, and playing Killer is more of a chore than any real fun.
And side note- Legion is still killswitched, which is strange. Legion would do well in the PTB as it currently stands.

2v8 is, and always has been insanely survivor sided and it just got worse.
There is no incentive to play 2v8 Killer with the 20+ minute queues (30+ in PTB) just to get 2-3 kills and BM'd at the exit gates.3 -
At live, there was always a 4 per class cap.

Both my mains are in 2v8 now, but the stress I had in the last iteration made it not worthy playing at all.
30 min for a 5 min match with survs typing "gg ez" at EGC as if you need any skill to escape with the double of survs, but with only one more gen to power the gates.
Also it seems annoying crap from 1v4 start leaking into 2v8 now with the addition of Flashlights and Flashbangs.
One of the reasons the mode is fun in lacking of these things.
To finish I just want to point out the obvious equation of "4 Zombies + 4 Flashlights = ZERO zombies".Post edited by The_Count on-1 -
Which now means EVERY MATCH is gonna be 4 Escapists + 4 Flashlighters.

I have won all but one of my matches as killer in 2v8 on the PTB and I am playing as Chucky who I have never played as before. I have not once seen 4 escapist + 4 torchbearers and think it would be actively throwing to have that composition as a survivor team. I have not had a single flashlight or flashbang save work against me despite many attempts to do so. As usual, claims that 2v8 is incredibly survivor sided ring incredibly hollow.

Hey, I'm not sure if you read the post completely— I'm not accusing the game of being entirely survivor-sided. What I said was in the PTB I had 8 torchbearers which could very well have been a bug (and if so, good! it means it'll hopefully get caught).
My suggestions were more so to make both sides enticing, and if we are being honest, majority of the player base are average at best (myself included). I don't think it's unreasonable to identify things that seem over tuned, in hopes that they'll be balanced later.

That comment is aimed at the people in this thread that think the mode is incredibly survivor sided. I would agree that the mode leans slightly survivor sided, I just don't think its the incredibly survivor sided mode that so many seem to think it is (someone in this thread literally has a 70% kill rate in the mode and still thinks its incredibly survivor sided). I didn't bother quoting them because they know I think this already and they stopped responding in another thread after I asked how high the kill rate in 2v8 needed to be to satisfy them.
I do in fact want the mode to be fun for both sides and loath the addition of blast mine (seriously who thought that would be fun to go against in most matches???). I also think that Torchbearer is a bad addition but at the same time I have spent many matches playing the class and unless the killers were particularly bad or seemed new (no shame btw) I got zero saves against them and have yet to be saved against while playing killer.
Killer is already the draw of the mode, much more than survivor. Its why queue times for killer are 20+ minutes while survivor is instant. That doesn't happen unless you have far more people queuing as killer than you do survivor. I play significantly more killer in 2v8 than I do in 1v4 and do just fine despite the claims of survivor sidedness.
Legion is directly antithetical to the desire for the mode to be casual without his power being totally reworked. He is far to capable of injuring many people at once and has a partner that can get the downs for them. People claim it was complaints that got him killswitched but I would bet it was actually a combination of internal data showing he had an outsized pick rate and team kill rate alongside the complaints about him being unfun to face. I do understand wanting to play as legion, it is fun to zoom around the map injuring people but that is focusing solely on the killer side of it. Even knowing how to counter legion, he wasn't fun to face and was in nearly every match.

If it isnt survivor sided, you would wait more than 30mims.
2ndly, you had got the genrush class gutted so no one can pop gens very quickly and now you got a new class , designed to throw the game for le funny save.
Which, will give you more of an advantage if you just play around them, slug for pressure, bait the pick up, pick up in most random yet idea situations.
Survivors for the most part arent gonna play without the 300%, because its just 1v4 but more idiots and another killer who will slug and tunnel.
If you really want to make "casual" advocate for more casual classes and not just "add 2 new killer".

Yeah, I dunno—getting flashed from every direction just isn't that fun as a killer. You work hard in chase only to lose it over and over and over again and slugging and running around looking for other survivors hiding around kinda makes it feel like I'm more of a maid than a killer. Balanced or no, I just don't think it makes things better.

Its insanely survivor sided because they want to shorten the queues times for 2v8. Think of it as an incentive. I am just thankful my nemesis got a buff so I am happy with that.
In terms of generators though…there really needs to be 9 gens to 8 survivors. It should be 10 but 9 would be more fair.

2v8 has been survivor sided since the beginning and the queue times are still horrendous for killers. i don't really think torchbearer will do anything to affect killer queue times honestly, and will probably work in the killers' favor if everyone plays that role and tries to go for a flashlight save instead of doing gens. the only negative point i see is m1 killers will suffer since they will lose a lot of time chasing flashers away, making killers like huntress, nemesis, pyramid or dracula much more valuable. rip trapper, wraith and chucky.

That's the point, these devs do not care about 2v8 k sided fun. They are trying to find ways to make more people play survivor. Its why they barely buff killers for the mode
