Are gen speeds a joke?
lmao its just hilarious how fast survivors can pop generators right now its comedy. Theres no way behavior knows what these SWFs can do with these gen rushing builds its insane. Is there a bug or something going on??

While it has been like this the entire time, but it's absurdly fast with multiple people or even just one, because in my experience, a gen is already at 50% or higher at the start of the match by the time I finally find the Survivors and its frustrating because that basically puts you into a position to slug or tunnel people to keep up which isn't fair on both sides

Except for the most part survivor does need nerfs, it's been the stronger role since 2016, and tbh feels a lot more like the power role than Killer does atm. That's why the only killers survivors play against are A tiers or higher usually, because you need a mobility/strong anti loop power to win.

They need to buff the speed of gen regression or this game will die.

Bro even tunneling just isnt realistic anymore with how fast gens are right now. Like these gens are flyinggg bro FLYINGGG against these gen rushing SWFs. Ul just lose 4 gens trying to tunnel 1 person out the game. Unless the skill gap is insanely big. Its unbelievable how fast gens get done now like this sh** is genuinely crazy

Cause such games are like what? 1 per 100? You need some serious coordination to pull this off as swf and 99 % of the playerbase isnt capable of this. It would be a good idea for most of the killerbase to start learning how to play their characters properly. But I guess killers will always fantasize that you should be able to 4k no matter how bad you are. Cause the game carries you that much right now.

bro you cant be real 😭 there is no way your sitting here telling me gens arent moving to fast against SWFs right now. They literally melt them atp killers might as well just help them repair the gens. Guess il be playing survivor until they do something cause that sh** is insane

Me when no one brings a single gen related thing and gens take 2 mins to complete against an kaneki :

Me when i lie
It hasnt been a strong survivor side since 2023.
The events alone make that very clear.
2 -
You do realize majority of survivors suck, right? Those stats are very skewed
-4 -
"but survivors suck". Doesnt mean anything.
Because it means nothing since they always sucked for 9 years, so by that logic never had a survivor meta.
Or they sucked but still had very obvious survivor metas.
you also cant just go back n fourth between "they only sucked at this and that time" because that makes no sense either.
Ergo, this sentence and arguement holds no substance.
Killers players suck too. Does this mean anything?, not really. They still got kaneki, nurse and blight that take barely any pratice to go on winstreaks on, maybe not long winstreaks but enough to get consistent wins.
Even if you wanna say the killrate is flawed or whatever, you cant argue that you have zero reason to not believe the party stats (how many people actually play in 4 mans)
Saying its been the strong role since 2016 makes no sense. Especially since we had nothing going for us since 2023 when mft and buckle died off.
And in history, killers also had strong metas in that timezone, like pentimento plaything, thrill of the hunt, pallet density being tilted in their favour for a month, kaneki blight and nurse barely getting any nerfs besides slaps on wrists.
You can say its swf sided all you want, but by design its never survivor sided overall, because disproving that it never was aimed to have a 60% killrate is impossible and you rarely get a competent swf squad by the stats shown, before to even justify it, when you get a swf 1/10 times.

I can show you survivor gameplay in a SWF and in solo queue if you want to argue this further. As long as the killer's not Nurse or Blight, you should be outing
-3 -
Even playing blight or nurse with these current gen speeds against a SWF is still uphauling and once you win a few games all you go against is SWFs damn near because of mmr.
The speed they pop gens should not be possible it just shouldn't. You start a chase, get the down fairly quickly but 3 gens still pop? wth? on the first hook?! lmaooo
-2 -
Also means pretty much nothing.

Coulda just said no bruh. Keep believing what you want to believe, but the game is surv sided. Whether you wanna accept that or not

So are we balancing around the majority of survivors or the tiny slice that are outskilling the masses?
Seems silly to want to rebalance the game around a phenomenon only relevant intermittently.

Boosting survivor for the sake of making sales is sort of the only thing that the project directors have been focusing on for years now. They don't seem to care that the game isn't even a fair contest for most of the killer roster as long as survivor players feel happy enough with the gameplay to keep buying content.
From the artificial regulation of lethality through endurance and pallet density to decimating gen regression while making progression more problematic, the pattern, purpose, and intent of the project directors is pretty clear.

Well its easily fixable if the devs actually made good tutorials for players to understand each killer kit, but they for some reason haven't done that yet, thus most people who don't play often have no clue how to beat like half the killers in the game (looking at Freddy and Sadako with a high kill rate, despite being weak killers)

…wait a sec I think I actually made a post abt this last week. I'm just gonna copy that.
The issue, I think, with adding very specific counterplay tips is that sometimes the devs intended counterplay and the actual counterplay aren't the same.
Look at how bots play against Plague. They spam cleanse. And that's bad because most players prefer to vs low-cleanse plague, where you are all injured and shes an m1 killer with very limited uses of her power (outside of iri), instead of high-cleanse plague, where youre all healthy and try and force her power on her by using up all of the fountains.
When approaching making tips for plague, what do BHVR suggest? To cleanse, like they instruct their bots to do, or not cleanse, like the playerbase agrees to do?
Of course, some killers would be made easier to vs by adding better tutorials. But honestly? I think most players wouldn't even look at them properly, and those that do risk being given advice irrelevant to the killer, region or mmr theyre playing against/at.

They should be balancing around people knowing what they're doing, you can't just keep babying bad players by showering them with buffs. That's just making the role even stronger than it already is, not helping inexperienced people and only being further utilized by good survivors.
-1 -
Why would you balance around a group of players you recognize is a huge minority? Isn't the game meant to try and be fun for most people?
0 -
You should balance around high mmr. He is right. The dedicated players that have played enough to get good should be favored in balancing over the bad noobs who couldn’t care less about learning and just complain and dc instead. And the reality is in high mmr gens DO fly and survivor is massively favored.

If they wouldn’t look at it properly they would have no right to complain. It would be their problem if there was a tool to help them learn and they just decided not to use it.
0 -
Agreed 100%.
1 -
Same could be said about not making better tutorials if you know most of your playerbase doesn't know how to counter certain killers. you don't buff the stronger role just because most people don't know what they're doing on survivor, you need better ways to teach them how to play. (Tutorials) Which in turn will make it fun for them and likely ensure they're a lasting player
