Ghoul has been nerfed (Technically)
Ghoul has been nerfed for whatever reason apparently being able to cancel mid leap was a bug they NEVER noticed or fixed since his launch ptb. Will this solve all the frustration people have against him? Not really in my opinion it's due to his design.

Honestly, it's the mobility now of being able to just return to the hook but that's not a problem exclusive to him. I'm yet to play much against him a lot coz of it being a new killer release but I'm really hopeful this is enough to make me enjoy playing against them.

Yeah that's pretty much a universal killer problem and I don't think he'll be anymore fun to play against least in my opinion his cooldown even when fully landed is still pretty short and his scamper with his 50% hinder debuff is my problem

So I went and tried it.
He can't cancel mid leap, but he can still fully cancel the slide. So it doesn't really do that much.
You can double back, if he would leap right next to you, or in front of you as survivor. But if he leaps behind you and just use slide to end whenever he wants, the outcome is same.
I hope they actually fixed hits through walls, but that will need more time to test.

Yeah that's what I figured it pretty much changing nothing I hope they do fix the hits through walls and not to mention getting hit from the second floor while ghoul is on the first floor

from my experience playing as and against the new “nerfed” kaneki, it feels the exact same tbh.

That line is not doing what you think it is doing.
Its specifically only preventing it when grabbing a survivor, which was a difficult but possible thing to do that would let you double hit really quickly.

I never bothered doing that double first thing so this doesn't affect me.

if anything he's currently buffed with the scamper hitting people miles away from a pallet (probably a bug though)

If that's what it was then yeah Ghoul is going to need further nerfs this will not affect him.
Please fine tune his grab attack that hits through walls often

Sorry, my bad, I don't get it. Are we talking about being able to hit a survivor after pallet-jumping with Kagune Leap? Cause if this is what we're talking about, I'm sorry to inform it hasn't been fixed. In this thread I posted a video that was recorded a couple hours ago, on Luscau's live.

It wasn't really a nerf, they just fixed a bug that allowed for a tech most ghouls didn't use anyway.
Also being able to just hide behind a structure when he grabs you in line of site to avoid his mend that was intentionally made to be easy to hit like legion is just unneeded counter play, he already has a ton of counter play already.
As far as him being able to mend a survivor on a roof while below that should definitely be looked at.
