Didn't they patch this out?
If I recall correctly, the devs patched the game so you couldn't cancel the unhook more than three times. Well, I played against a Cenobite, one Meg DC'd during the first chase, and the other just decided to be as toxic as possible.

I tried to do it recently to a bot while screwing around with a friendly killer and it forced me to unhook.

At this point we need to call it Starfish Code, in honor of how old bugs seem to regenerate after being cut off.
