Killer lag
2v8 this time around has been so a**. 9/10 matches I have played both killers have +100ms. This is an epidemic that has been going on for a while. It has been getting progressively worse to the point it damn near makes the game unplayable on the survivor side. The only way to counter laggy killers is to just turn off the the game. It is time bhvr does something about this. Killer mains can't be allowed to exploit bad wifi. Killers need to be the ones suffering from bad connection, not the survivors.

I fully agree that this is a big problem, but BHVR have made it clear they aren’t going to do anything about it. They would lose a lot of players if they enforced ping limits and they aren’t losing that many players by keeping the status quo. So it’s a very easy business decision for them to ignore this problem.

So, in CS2, my average ping is 30, in Helldivers 2, 50, but in DBD 90
Meanwhile, in a recent game, 5 survivors had a ping of 100
There are two versions
1) Probably the evil killer mains used a dark ritual to summon the evil ping god and got inside the bhvr server to ruin everyone's ping, including themselves....
2) Due to the poor server condition and heavy load on them the servers have become work worse5 -
It is not just 2v8.. and it is not just ping related… I played two games today and even tho I was on NA with 100 ping (I am EU, friend is NA) I was getting teleported, prompts being refunded or non existent at all..
You could say, that is it my fault for playing on NA, but I can tell you, that it is not that, it is the sh1ty server lag which appeared out of nowhere the past update.. AGAIN
idk what they are doing but I am not the only one noticing it, seen multiple videos about it.. I got so triggered today I had to alt F4.. it is unplayeable at this point1 -
I've noticed that the ping is way higher on 2v8 than in 1v4. Like 20-30 ms difference from my usual ping for some reason. DBD's netcode is just not good, I guess, and you get higher ping the higher amount of players are in the lobby. Devs really need to do something about it.

I don't know why but my ping on the Survivor side is mostly fine, yet whenever I play a Killer game it's spotty at best. Sometimes it will be totally fine but then suddenly I'll be at 500ms ping and everyone is teleporting around the map.
The frustration is just the same for Killers as it is for Survivors and it makes me want to avoid playing Killer altogether. Maybe I'm getting sent to some far flung Server for my Killer games, I don't know… but I swear it was never this bad last time around.
I have a theory it's maybe to do with Nemi's extra zombies but I can't be sure it's just that.

Funny thing is that this happens all the time even in regular matches. Unfortunately, if the killer has bad connection they get laggy hits. Punnish the killers not the survivors. Make the killer whiff the hit then. It is literally that simple. Game is already killer sided to begin with. That side doesn't need any more advantages.

Getting 100 ping killer is bad but its nothing compare to 274+ ping wraith from uganda that hits you through dropped pallet on larrys 3 seconds after you drop it.

Where is the video that shows this lousy management of BHVR going in this direction? I want to watch it. I have uninstalled and stopped playing DBD just because of their incompetence in managing connectivity issues. It gets even worse during events, and I am actually bewildered that there are still people playing this game considering that when the game connection is screwed, YOUR EXPERIENCE WILL BE HORRIBLE NO MATTER WHAT. All the balancing is useless if servers are terrible and if players with high ping are allowed to play the game.

@ OP it's not just in 2v8, this has been bad for quite a while now and it is a bit disappointing that there is no mention of it from the devs. On my own servers I have between 28-30 ping, but sometimes will still get paired up against killers with 100+ ping and they get hits that should just not happen.
As for 2v8 for some reason rubberbanding is also back in full force 🫠
Does anyone here play on VPN to get on better servers? And if so, what is your experience with it? Does it help at all or?

Rubber bandings, random teleports, random lags even with low graphics…
The servers connect killers/survivors to unknown locations, causing the ping to rise to 100 or more
It's not even funny, the game has turned into a chaotic mess of ######### where you're trying not to catch another server/game bug instead of surv0
