We need "Vote down" and "Terrible" buttons in forums
There are so many spammy, useless, inaccurate, wrong... commentaries that it is logical:
"Vote up" -> "Vote down"
"Awesome" -> "Terrible"

@Slayer But then that one dev Janick or whatever would get downvote spammed every time he says he won't buff a killer after ptb.
I think that's why LOL was removed. People LOL'd the devs.

Survivor mains will just use it to downvote killer mains.
Killer mains won't downvote anybody because they are lovely people.

I wish.. anyone crying either side is OP deserves one of those options , I feel like it's created more toxicity in the environment because the people who would normally just hit the button and move along now either can ignore it or they have to voice their opinion to show disagreement and actually start debating with someone over their idea of "balance"

the devs want this forum to be a nice place without any hate / negativity.
Thats why they removed the "Downvote" and "LOL" buttons in the first place.

we are all like "rotten apples" complaining and fighting all time in forums
glad for DBD devs that forumers (we) only represent less then 1% of total players

@BACKSTABBER If you are only talking about this forum, even 1% is too much.
I am pretty sure if you count 30-40 active guys in this forum, you will cover more than 90% of the posts in the last month.
This is why the devs don't care much about this forum. It is not the representative of the game at all. Some of users including me is posting too much.
Just because I have 2k posts doesn't mean what I say is the fact or 'constitution'
Some people can't realize is though. I have said in another thread, I hope more and more people realize that this forum is mostly for social interactions. We might potentially draw attention to some of the issues but overall, this forum has almost no impact on the game at all.

It's a little more complicated than that, but the short answer is no, that has nothing to do with it.
Originally we have up vote, down vote, awesome and lol. Down votes, unfortunately, had extra functionality attached to them that would automatically hide a post when it reached a certain number of votes. In a perfect world that's good, it would get rid of spammers and bait really fast. But what ended up happening was that anyone with a slightly unpopular opinion was basically silenced because their posts would keep getting removed. Not ideal, to say the least.
Once those went, lol became the new down vote. We were okay with this at first, but later on people started to abuse this by creating alt accounts to mass lol people they disagreed with. We also had a few run-ins with bots that would give people thousands of lol's over night. Some folks who were around at the time can verify that. We got rid of those before they became more of a problem.
It would be great to have them back, but we need to make sure they can't be abused first. For now, if you disagree with someone, you can explain why our upvote a post that says what you want to say.
