High ping killers

Let's be honest. It is past due for killers to get booted from a match once their ping reaches over 70. I can't believe that this even needs to be said. You can tell exactly which killers are doing it on purpose because they swing through every pallet knowing they will get the laggy hits. It has gotten to the point that at least 70% of my games the killer has ping over 90. You really start to notice the effects at anything higher than 70. This is just ridiculous.

I agree with you, but it’s never going to happen. BHVR will never do anything to reduce the number of players in the game, even it is means a worse experience for players who have a reasonable ping and would otherwise be able to enjoy fair matches.

I definitely get the frustration, but at the same time, there's a big chunk of the community that is unable to control this like you think. From my understanding, the central US timezone (generally) use to have a server we all used, however, that has since shut down forcing most of us onto the eastern servers. I pay good money for fiber and still have an average of 76 ping despite that because of this fact.

I will say I play a bit unusually in that if I get a very obvious ping hit (chainsaw hit through a pallet without destroying, hits after survivor vaults and their feet touch the floor, etc) I either let them wiggle off or leave them slugged to be picked up because I know it wasn't a fair hit.

Like I said, get the frustration, but there's a lot of us out there that WISH we could have better ping too when it's not our fault. As many times as you've been unfairly hit, trust on our side, there's been just as many times we've been robbed of hits we should've had.

You do realize that over 90 ping is quite common as there no servers closer to some areas so the server can be far away. I have little bit under 90 ping because I live in northern europe and the closest server is in Frankfurt. Not everyone has servers close enough to get around 60 ping. Not to mention if you think over 90 ping is someone lag switching then you have not really seen any real lag switchers.

yep there should be validation hits base on pings, if the killer have over 80ping he should always lose to 20ping player in validation.

14 out of 15 games with high ping. What’s more likely: 90%+ of killers abusing ping, or OP doesn’t live very close to an AWS server?

The servers are sending me to another continent way more frequently this year, i HATE to play with 100+ ping when I have usually 30> in the correct server. Something is going on and it's so annoying, and the funny part is, after I started noticing the red bar during the lobby I would simply quit the lobby and go do something else. That's when I also noticed, restarting the game seems to "fix" this issue of the game constantly putting me in high ping servers. Not 100% but mostly. They should address this or at least give the players more options/agency to deliberately choose and display the preferred server… This happens regardless if I queue survivor or killer btw

Some killers back out of a lobby to dodge it so another killer fills in the role to take the spot. Hence likely on a server they never belonged to begin with.
