is there an actual reason for end game chat?
why do we still have it because the close feature makes it so it randomly opens if you close it anyway its like i want a feature like every other game has to actually permantly disable it in settings so I don't have to worry about seeing you're a trash killer or negativity yes its nice when you see ggs but at this point its rare to see and it feels more like a way to bully then anything. I had a 4 man team calling me names and telling me to off myself and all as a streamer I get enough hate as it is so I've been wanting to mention it for so long but didn't want to upset anyone but it's time there's so many people who are tired of it to I think it'd help the game feel more welcoming as well because as a new player you literally see people cussing you out and telling you to uninstall and play a different game and I know other games are worse with all of this but they have a feature to actually disable vc and text chat or allow you to actually mute people one reason is lets say i have the worst day and hop on to stream and i see everyone tbagging mid match and doing bm then text in the end game chat and then knowing they will hate on me in my stream chat as well so again why not add the ability to disable it

I wouldnt mind if it were removed. It just promotes sitting there waiting to say something about how the others played instead going to the next round in peace.
Meanwhile the console players think we have this amazing feature they are left out of, its something that makes the game worse lol

Not to mention you get censored just trying to compliment people sometimes. Awkward all around.

I hate the chat censor so deeply, it might be the worst I've seen in any game. The other day it was censoring the word "game" on my screen, but my friend was able to see it. How does something like that even happen?

The intent, I imagine, was to foster camaraderie amongst the community.
Unfortunately, it's failed at that goal, so I would support the argument to remove it entirely.

Honestly no, most of the time in my experience, the end game chat has only been used to say the most nonsensical things, win or lose someone always throws out the "#########" insult, or some other insane childish BS, it doesn't bother me personally, but it's so wild the lengths people in this game go to try to hurt someone's feelings, the amount of sheer toxicity is just uncontrolled and poorly punished.

idk the people i play with now i only found because of the egc. I personally would hate to see it go. Sure people can be negative but why do you care what they say anyway their likely miserable.

Played two matches as killer just now nothing in the end game chat people just moved on. Its still nice to have a conversation and be able to say gg so there is no reason to remove it. Toxicity is not really that common in the end if not people taking gg as toxic nowadays don't know.

I've made a few long-term DBD buddies through endgame chat - even opposing sides. It can be awful, but it can also be great.

I understand the amount of negativity people have towards it. I've seen bad chats. But I think removing it outright instead of having it be opt-out would be a loss. I've seen constructive interactions too, people hyping each other up or just generally being polite with ggs and wps.

Is wanting the chat disable feature to actually work "crying" now?
Having a functional way to mute other players is like a bare bones feature of multiplayer games lol

It's incredibly inconsistent like that. My friends and I had the same issues with it 6 years ago. BHVR have said they expect trash talk, but the filter doesn't seem to agree lol
