What is the counterplay for MoM ?
No really now i see so many people say that MoM have counters but besides 4 maybe 5 killers (3 of them survivors hate) i can't see another way.

Sure some killers could work around it with an M2 but There's no actual game play counter to it like there is for everything else.
I really want to know who designed this perk and thought it was balanced 😂

Wraith player here.
There is no counter to this perk whatsoever, so when there are 4 MoMs, DHs and Adrenalines, my Bingbong boy cries in a corner.

Once MoM got fixed (it's bugged according to McLean) Huntress, Billy, Leatherface and to a certain extend Plague and Myers are able to counter it with their basekit.
Every other killer requires ebony moris or ultra rares or lucky timing with Haunted grounds or just simply camping.
And tbf tho, it's not easy af to m2 every survivor as billy, once a survivor notice that he will try to force M1s out of you. As billy, you can take that opportunity or leave it and keep trying to m2, which could cost you a lot of time against experienced smart survivors.

Played several pig matches and it made little difference, even against multiple MoM users. I find sprint burst way more annoying, it does pretty much the same thing, is unlimited use, and also has no counterplay. The closest thing to a MoM counter is to try and one-shot then hook someone 3 times. MYC, Noed, DH, chainsaw, t3 myers, trap grabs, hell even mad grit helps if they waste it bodyblocking.
Oh, and legion too, but they're broken....

Facecamp the first person you hook so they can't get hit more than twice. No other counter to it.

As Freddy, what I like to do is let the survivor wake up if they're still in dream state and I wasn't initially going after them, put them back in the dream transition, mindgame the transition, then try for a hit right as the transition ends to get a Dream Chaser hit. Just do that for every hit that would put them in the dying state. Then I cry as all 4 run out the exit gate, but I get the satisfaction of knowing that I adapted to MoM like the survivor mains and high tier killer mains insisted I could.

Once they fix it, that won't work anymore either. The only counters will be alternate damage and oneshots

None, you either are a killer that can bypass it or you aren't, hence why the "JUST ADAPT" claim being very stupid.

I've adapted pretty well, I think.
I've been playing Wraith with PWYF, Rancor, NoED, and Bloodwarden. Just harass the Obsession until the gens are done(the more pallets they let you break, the better), Mori them, then maybe get one or two others with NoED/BW.
Duh, it's a meme build, but the endgame salt is tasty.

I hate Hillbilly more than any other killer, and he is one of the few killers virtually unaffected by this perk.

1) camp until the surv is dead
2) camp until the surv goes to struggle, tunnel afterwards
3) you don't have to wait until struggle, but still have to tunnel after the unhook. then mori

Yeah, now y'all see why this particular DLC skipped the PTB phase. They knew what they were doing, and looked to avoid all the PTB blow-ups in addition to the Live patch blow-ups, because it wasn't being changed anyway.

Instadowns from chainsaws
Myers tier 3
Graps (Trappers trap)
Add-ons with instadowns
NOED, Haunted Ground, Rancor, if the survivor is fully healed.
Plague Corrupted Veil
Bugged Nurse Blink-hit
Slugging until bleeding out
Not hooking or hitting the obsession until all gens are poped and you can Rancor them to death.
Pick your poison. What would be the most fun to play and to face?

@MegsAreEvilNo Killers need a counter to STRONG survivor perks. Which in this meta means chasing perks and second chance perks.
Exhaustion perks can be baited, DS just requires not tunneling, BT just requires not camping, Adrenaline is very difficult to time (but is otherwise one of the more broken perks).
On other other hand perks like deja vu, technician and urban evasion don't need specific counter's since their impact is so low. The closest you get is other perks like hex: 3rd seal for deja vu.
Applying this principle to Killer perks you get:
Every hex perk: Cleanse the totem (or all of them in NOED's case)
BBQ: Lockers, hiding behind a gen or being nearby
Brutal strength: Go for stuns with pallets or use windows instead
Enduring: Don't rely on stuns or use windows instead
Spirit Furry: Drop the pallet early
Bamboozle: Use more than 1 window in your loop
Overcharge: Hit the skill check
Monitor & Abuse: Use your eyes. Killers aren't invisible (barring Wraith/Freddy of course)
Nurses calling: Don't heal in the Killers terror radius
Sloppy butcher: Don't heal at all
Did I miss any particularly strong perks? For either side? Perks such as STBFL are too low impact to require dedicated counterplay much like with survivor perks such as Botany Knowledge.
Note that low impact does not mean bad. STBFL is a good perk, but it doesn't have a particularly strong effect, just a commonly applicable one kinda like thanataphobia (which has healing for counterplay)

Play a really annoying playstyle.
Hope you get lucky and have instadown perks activate before MoM becomes a problem.

Being serious, the perk only has three or four counters: Billy, Leatherface (both have their chainsaw), Myers (EW3 instadown), and maybe Huntress (not sure if her hatchets are bugged or not). Nurse currently counters it, but that is a bug so it'll probably be fixed soon. It's basically telling you that you can only play certain Killers, otherwise you'll have to deal with the broken mess that is Mettle of Man.

You can't counter it. Not with Billy, Bubba, Myers, etc.
All their hits from M2 count towards MoM. If you slug just a bit and they get up, you playing in their hands.
The Perk should've never made it into the game. PERIOD.

No really do you remember the old BT back then you could run the killer with for all the 20 second you have. The MoM is the same but without the timer and don't forget all the pallet you have in the game.
