"P100" is irrelevant to your MMR and skill for both roles
I've ran into some clearly low MMR P100 survivor and killers in this blood moon event. They play like they just installed the game a few weeks ago.
I know I'll get many replies "Oh I know" or "Duh" but I see the mentioning of "I'm a P100 Wesker…." like as it means anything? It's like going into work and saying "I have 10 years of experience as a X role….". Which is a good example too, I've seen people who have 10-20 years on the job but suck - cause I worked in consulting prior. I've visited many corporations.
Anyways…prestige really means nothing. They could've boosted it via promos and playing like a super casual all the way through. Or they didn't learn from their mistakes and never wanted to improve. That's fine though, and this is a casual game no matter what anyone says. There's no ranked queue.
I know people have off days or tilt. I know I do. We're all human. But someone had the obsession link perk and I was the obsession. I saw them do nothing the entire game. Just sorta stand in a corner in the swamp map and go into a locker. That's not "an off day" thats just how they play as a P100. Just wanted to bring this discussion up because I'm sick of people waving around P100 like it means anything. The prestige badges are cool though and maybe I'll try to get one now, but I barely play enough as it is so I need my points for new survivors/killers.

I mean, the one thing it does mean is that, at the very least, they're not completely new.
Someone with 10 hours in the game isn't going to have a p100 Ace, I reckon.
Beyond that, it's a total crapshoot.

That's what I thought, until I played this blood moon event for the first time. Been playing off/on since 2020 but we were running survivor aura perks so I saw what this certain player did all game. Nothing. I was shocked to see they were P100 at the end.

I ask the people who question this are they basing this on P100 players they actually know and regularly play with/watch or just on soloq experiences? We all have off games and days. I think if we are being honest all of have been there and played poorly, made bad plays and decisions in game, no matter how long where have been playing.
So that P100 might have play terrible in your match but maybe in their others they have been decent.

I have played this game from 2016 little bit after Halloween DLC was released and I have no P100 characters and most likely will never have one as I have no reason to do that. There is nothing to gain from it that I would want even after they added the new prestige rewards. I also do use all my bloodpoints on the character I played the match with and as I play all characters its very unlikely that one of them ever gets to P100. P100 is just indicator that someone used a lot of bloodpoints on one character nothing more. Still as others said everyone has a off day or match where nothing goes right. They also could be someone who comes back in the game from long break or someone else is playing the game than the person who owns it as that is nothing new with computer games.

I think most of the times someone starts with "i have a p100 ____" is usualy when people are talking about said character and they just want to explain their point with the fact that theyve desicated atleast some time to trying to get to know how the character works before making a point.
Like for example me saying i have a p100 xeno so i know he sucks against swf groups more than most of the roster because they like to make dedicated multiturret safezones. Doesnt mean ive mastered the killer and went all the way to high mmr or anything but ive played it enough to know some things others might not. I honestly cant tell if im in high mmr with xeno but every single round is a sweatfest compared to playing other killers on the list like chucky etc.
Meanwhile i also have a p100 ghoul as a big fan of Rize from the anime, but refuse to use her 99% of the time because im still waiting for the hate and overuse to die down. So ive used her maybe 20 times in total since ghoul's chapter launch. So it can be either someone that knows some stuff or just leveled them cuz they like them lol

Who You speak of actually don't sound like true P100's. Some p100s will betend to be very good for attention. True P100s dont brag about there Rank. P100 just shows experience with the Character nothing more.
P100s make mistakes, Fake ones dont make mistakes. Mistakes are what makes it real because thats how the game is. Sometimes ur gonna get stream rolled no matter what ur Prestige Level is. So ur right Prestiges mean nothing in this game.

Well, yeah.
You don't look at P100 and say that they're good.. But on the other hand, there's that underlying expectations as P100 most certainly means at least a few hundreds of hours spent playing the game.
Then again, this is a doable and crosses with the OG players like me, as back then bloodpoints were rather rare.
The multipliers were only during events, and each part of the bloodweb was numerous times more expensive.
We're talking about a few millions worth of difference per a singular prestige, which in conversion to time means a few hundreds of hours back then, whereas nowadays just a few tenths of hours. That's kinda wild, isn't it?
And that's why I just scratch it off and don't pay it any attention. Most players do factually play better than me, and I'm well aware of that.
That's just how it is when you leave the game for about five years, come back, but don't pick it up on the fly and burn hours into it on a daily basis. It's not gonna get fast.. And there's also the matter with the bloodweb being more accessible than before, that both parties do use add-ons and items these days 'round.
Back then, many players such as myself played add-onless and without items, so to save up some bloodpoints in the long run. That's not gonna be the case, making matches much easier overall and raising the skill gap.
Yeah, the players are getting better.
The lobbies are getting more competitive.
Classic, nothing out of the ordinary for any multiplayer videogame that's been out for years.1 -
P100 just shows you've played a bit, though how they got to it, you don't know. I got my main survivor to p100 last anniversary because the BP was flowing. You also don't know where the points came from. I was dumping my killer points into that survivor, and I'm currently dumping BP from my few survivor matches into my killer, who will probably be a p100 by the time the next anniversary ends and then I get to have people tell me, "omg a p100 you suck uninstall" which is gonna be very funny.

It's interestimg with the new prestige reward portraits to see how many people have p100s. And yh for me a I know a p100 usually knows the bare basics, but doesn't mean they are amazing. But i find p100 killers tend to be that olayers main so on average they tend to play a little better

P100 means game time and experience. Not everyone learns from experience so some p100 players sre cracked and others are not

The mechanic is long enough in the game now, it doesn't mean much anymore. Most people who focus on a few characters/ ignore leveling others for perks and who have played the game without bigger breakes have a P100 character by now. You don't need to be a hardcore "i only play DBD every day"-gamer for that. I've seen P100's doing the most abstruse things lately. On the other hand, a P100 is definitely less likely to be a super scared 50 hour survivor who have absolutely no clue what they're doing.

If you've been around enough, "I'm a P100" was the same as "I'm a P3". At least back then you had to start over from 0 but only if you actually played that character. Now it just means you put all you bp into one character. The only skill that it proves is they found out how to make a lot of bp.
So yeah, it's stupid. Just like saying I'm Grade 1 on both sides.

Usually I found they just like to mess around and not really try to hard. Which is completely fair in my view of it.
I've been playing since 2017 and playing like a sweat for a solid year of my game time. I just like to run funny meme builds. More often then not I lose cause I just end up messing around. But after a while I think people who are p100 just don't take the game too seriously. (Which I hope is the case)

You aint wrong, P100 Bill and i play like trash about 95% of the time. Just makes the moments i play good that much satisfying.

From my experience unless its p100 killer and that guy mains him only and has some hundreds of hours (meaning he is very good with that killer) than rest of p100 in my lobby arent that best players they udualy tend to be the salty ones which complain mostly. But thats my experience I believe others have it different compare to me, anyone with few tens of hours in DBD and some fraction of will power knows p100 doesnt mean anything like if you see p100 all that means that person mostly plays that character (probably) and second he spend his points there for some reason so he isnt new.
Like if you see legacy skin thats something different than p100 because that only means two things either its cheater that wants to look good the oposite of his inner self or its someone who plays from 2016 and wont be bad (the chances fot thid that he will be good are way higher than p100 not to mention p100 can be seen only in endgame sreen only cheaters can see it before game in lobby).
