The Asian Server Is Currently Suffering from the Worst Meta Ever (Fast Track, Slugging Blight)

Since the buff to Fast Track, survivors using this perk appear in almost every match.

Let’s talk about the Fast Track perk.
Previously, its effect was 3%, but it was buffed to 6%, which is an enormous doubling.

Every time the killer hooks a survivor, survivors gain a 6% generator repair bonus.
This is equivalent to instantly repairing 5.4 seconds of generator progress, which is an absurdly large value.

(For comparison, using the Déjà Vu perk and repairing a generator alone to 100% only grants about 5.1 seconds of time efficiency.)

Moreover, if three survivors are using Fast Track, every hook results in 18% of a generator being instantly repaired.
This means that if the killer hooks survivors just five times, 90% of a generator is already completed.

The intended direction of this game’s balance changes is to discourage camping and tunneling,
and instead encourage hooking multiple survivors.

However, killers are now heavily penalized even when playing normally by hooking survivors.
Because of this single perk, it has created a vicious cycle that encourages camping and tunneling.

In addition, some killers have realized that slugging
is more advantageous than hooking survivors.

Now, moving on to slugging gameplay.

Currently, there has been a significant increase in players who avoid hooking entirely
and instead leave all four survivors in the dying state.

What kind of system is needed to prevent slugging?

Should survivors be given Unbreakable as a base kit perk?
No, that’s not necessary.

Slugging can be addressed by adjusting just one of the core perks that enable it:
DISTRESSING, Infectious Fright, or Coulrophobia.

For example, let’s say we rework Infectious Fright:
“If it can only activate up to three times and is recharged when a survivor is hooked,”
this alone would prevent infinite slugging without heavily impacting its original performance.

I hope for a better Dead by Daylight.
Thank you for reading.
