Trickster feels way stronger now?
I decided to play trickster after he was buffed a little and after playing a couple matches of me being destroyed, I suddenly started doing really good. I have now had like 10 matches in a row, while playing trickster, where I have gotten everyone (sometimes except for 1 cuz I forget that someone is only on first hook) to second hook before exit gates are even powered.
Was the buff really that good or?

It depends, Trickster is better at the point when he gets close to survivors, but if survivors play against him safe and prerun, then there is not much you can do to win that game.
It will be slightly better now when decay starts later, so you can try to get some long range shots…

I genuinely feel like all he needed was give him 8 extra knives
Cause currently trick pouch (one of his add-on) fixes the current issue I have with the trickster as 36 knives is way too low especially since he moves at 4.4 movement speed

As a long time Trickster player I can confidently say he is stronger but you definitely have to be locked in and hit your knives. Not only do you have less of them but you're not getting main event every half a second allowing you to mindlessly spam.
Now, is he stronger in the sense where he can now compete with the strongest killers in the game? No, but he doesn't have to because not all killers need to be S tier. In the end they made him much more rewarding to play with more skill expression and with that, a lot more fun. The only things I would like to see changed are a revert to his knife count, reduce or remove the extra slow down from consecutive throws, and fix that god awful S rank visual for the survivor point of view. Its ugly ah hell.

To be honest I don't really worry about that much cuz I run Ultimate Weapon and Darkness Revealed so survivors can't run away and hide from me.

I didn't even use trick pouch for most of my games and I still kept popping off.

They kinda did that but as usual with addon, by buffing some addon to give more knifes usual bandaid fix by balance team when the character needs it and deserves it in his base kit (after they took his speed i would expect same or more ammo than 115% speed trickster).

I love the buffs, Ripper Brace and Bloody Boa or shoes are my friend
But they really need to make this killer controller friendly, it's awful1 -
It's not about hiding, issue is if you start a chase while survivor has 30 meters ahead of you, they can just hold W and get a good chase by default from that.
Then you have rock loops, where every 4,4 m/s killer is going to struggle.So you basically get faster down, because of only 6 knives needed, but it brought back classic struggles of slower killer.

Pretty much hiding is good if that killer counters running hard but trickster doesnt and on indoors like his own map he sucks hard (best way for me to play that map is to hold hooks and try to get 2k because these widown loops with hold W synergy are very hard to beat and it costs you a lot of time, sometimes its not even possible without bloodlust but that 30 seconds of no power use to get it and thats a lot of time).
Only thing that feels stronger is when Im basicaly breathing on their neck meaning Im right behind them to knife them down but in chase I dont see him betetr than 115% version because the previous tricksters version didnt even needed knifes all the time he could just use them to get first health state and than use his speed or combinate it with knifes to get survivor unsure if he is going for knifes or m1 and surprise them but this version is all about knifes plus previous version had to hit 2 more knifes but he had more of them and didnt need them to be useable plus for each 8 hit knifes he had main even aviable which was free knifes for some time so he was more harder to loop that this one who takes health faster but thats it old trickster was always behind your butt.

They would need to give you autoaim or make his knifes hitbox larger which plays against him because he wouldnt be able to shoot through gabs.
I dont think killer that requires multiple precise shots to get value controller friendly and wont be unless they do one of the things I mentioned but than it would be for first thing a buff for pc and for second nerf for all especialy pc so I dont see it happen.

its not even that, the aim sensitivity even when you change it feels like its always too much or too little, you don't have precise control over the camera like other FPS games.
Aim assist would help if it was light, but generally speaking you have to aim with your movement on controller and with 110 (not that I want a speed increase) it's really tough to keep up with survivors if you aim that way.

trickster got buffed at what he's good at which is shredding in open areas and got even slower so he's weak against shift w and looping

I haven't had an issue with any of these in all of my games so far. Excluding the first games when the update first released.
Rock loops are easy to mind game due to them usually being very thin, even then running them down isn't impossibly. Prerunning hasn't happened once.0 -
I have played on his map and he ain't that horrible on it. It isn't good but it isn't an instant death explosion you lose.
Maybe it's because I don't really go for kills? Cuz I just get everyone to second hook then let them leave.0 -
I don't see it I can cut survivors off and most loops aren't that horrible for him. I just mindgame and slowly chip at their laceration until they either leave the loop or get injured. Even then leaving the loop, especially if it's a small one, is an easy injure/down.

From my experience that map is terrible for 110% speed killers except like spirit and springtrap.
The prerunning is totaly busted on this map more powerfull than on larrys or RPD and slow killers will get cooked here.
