What is the intended function of Warg's Fang?

Drac is one of my main killers and when I play him I play exclusively in Wolf form.

I noticed a while back that his Warg's Fang add-on gave aura read on all survivors you had picked up a scent orb for, for the rest of the trial, every time your pounce went off cooldown. So basically any time I needed to find survivors I'd just pounce in place and run around waiting for the cooldown to wear off at which point I'd see all survivor auras (as long as I had sniffed their orbs once during the trial).

This seemed a bit strong but I thought that since it had a few needed things for set up (sniffa, being in wolf form, and having used pounce) it was still kinda fair and just a power that builds throughout the trial.

Now it seems to be back to how I remember it, where you only see the aura of the survivors you picked up scent obs from since your last pounce, making it a pretty lackluster add-on with all that set up. There was also no mention of this change in the patch notes.

The add-on says:
"While in Wolf Form , whenever the Pounce attack becomes available, you benefit from the following effect:

  • The Auras of all Survivors whose Scent Orbs you have collected are revealed to you for 5 seconds."

Which to me sounds like the the first thing is the intended function, but perk/add-on descriptions can be confusing at times.

So which is the intended effect?

Id say its intended effect is like Wraith's predator perk showing a survivors aura if you lose them in a chase, so long as you are chasing someone in wolf form you will see their aura everytime you're ready to pounce, allowing you to see where they are going through walls before pouncing. So a chase aura addon. (Hes one of my mains as well)
