Bloodpoints earned per match needs to be boosted
At this point the grind in this game (not a free to play game either) does not justify the paltry amount of bloodpoints that are earned in normal matches. Bloodpoints earned don’t need to be boosted to Blood Moon levels but the event, just like the anniversary, puts into perspective how low the normal bloodpoint earnings are.
Let’s look at it this way:
- There are so many characters now with an ever expanding roster that grinding everyone for 3 perk tiers takes a lot of time
- Once you have done that, you probably want to prestige a character, again a lot of time
- Tome challenges are kind of obsolete, and the new daily challenge system rewards you simply for playing the game. So you earn a little bit of extra BP to put towards….prestiging characters
At some point, all there is to do in this game is choose who your next prestige 100 is. And although the new rewards were a nice touch, they do not justify the grind. It’s not like you get a fourth perk tier for p100, it’s all cosmetic.
There sometimes seems to be a logic put forward that increasing the BP gains would mean people play less but honestly this is surely disproven at this point? Higher BP gains motivates people to play and as stated already, with so many characters in the game it’s not going to quicken up what you can do with the BP that much. People aren’t suddenly going to have 10 P100’s in a week.
Is there a worry people would get too many items? In my games people only bring Medkits, toolboxes and then flashlights anyway so I don’t think it matters at this point.
Just a theory too, but increasing the bloodpoint rewards would probably make tunnelling/ early elimination and rough killer games feel less bad. Even knowing you’re getting something as low as 20K minimum for at least starting the game and seeing it out would maybe encourage people not to DC and make rough games feel less bad.
Please BHVR give us a few more crumbs of bloodpoints!

Even with a multiplier of 6 with Blood Moon, BPs gains felt… not insane? I think they could boost them to a permanent 2-3 times.

As someone who is still checking off the last few stragglers from the list of non-licsensed content, the BP gains during bloodmoon very rapidly outpaced unlocking iri killers/survivors. I had more issues with Bloodweb clutter and atrocious RNG keeping me away from my favourite addons. I suppose it made me experiment with different builds but it was still super frustrating.
I'd like them to shift around BP gains. Chase should reward more than it does. I got hard tunnelled last night by a Blight that went so far as to hit me on hook repeatedly until I was unhooked, only to chase again. Not sure what I did to deserve that, but coming out of a match where my suffering netted 5 gens and a 3E shouldn't give me sub 20k.0 -
Yes!
… they could boost them to a permanent 2-3 times.
They should rethink the base gains at this point.
Sure, we got more events and 2v8 which always have BP boni, but the amount of survs and killers to level up needs to be improved on a base level.
As always - especially for new players!
Longtime players usually have everything unklocked.
But if you start new at this game now… uff

I don't think inflating the bloodpoint economy even further is a good idea. The game is still suffering from the last BP inflation updates.
Back then, bringing strong addons or items was something few people did on a regular basis. These strong items weren't so readily availible for a majorty of players, so you'd think twice before using one of them.
Nowadays, almost everyone has literal stacks of iridescent addons and the like.
While I do agree, that the grind is really bad, it's by far not as bad as it's been. Maybe we've already gone too far and addons and items are no rarity anymore. Then, however, I have to ask: do we even need offerings like the black ward anymore?
